Double-Action Entendres
Posted by Frank J. at 05:44 PM | View blog reactions | Comments (20)

I think designing firearms would be an awesome job to have. Almost as fun would be coming up with cool names for said firearms. I love the double entendre names for guns that mean one thing by themselves, but something entirely different when applied to a firearm. Name like Peacemaker, Persuader, Liberator, and Defender. Here are a few of my own firearms name I came up with and what I think the gun would be.

1. The Problem Solver - All purpose assault rifle with scope and grenade launcher attachment.
2. The Panacea - Reliable, semi-automatic handgun (I'm thinking .45), compact enough for concealment.
3. The Negotiator - Compact sub-machine gun with integral silencer.
4. The Surgeon - Highly accurate sniper rifle.
5. The Ombudsman - Expensive, shiny .357 magnum revolver.

If you have any more ideas, put them in the comments section.

The Micheal Moore - 10ga. shotgun, barrel plugged with filth, then fired.

The Pink Fuzzy Bunny;
Mossberg 870 with picatinny rail mounted laser sight and bayonet, firing Armor Peircing Incendiary Flechette Rounds. (Optional spring loaded spike in buttstock to complement the bayonet.)

Only because it would be funny to see the headline; "Shumer Calls for Ban on Pink Fuzzy Bunnies".
(From an idea by the late Jay "Lottaguns" Bazner.)

Working on the same theory as Mike (above) my idea is called the Mickey Mouse.
A 10guage 9-barreled belt fed rotary shotgun mounted to the bed of a 1/2ton or heavier truck powered by a P.T.O. system from the output shaft of the transmission.
A 12guage 5-barreled version, designed for 1/4ton trucks is called the Minnie Mouse.

I can't believe you guys missed "The Convertor"- the 100 megaton nuclear device that makes converts out of just about anyone within a 50 mile mile radius.

How about...

- "The Sergeant": reliable 9-10lb. semi-auto in .30-'06 with 20 rd. magazine.

- "The Boss": replacement for M2 'Ma Deuce', .50BMG mounted on Hummer, cyclic rate of 1200 rpm.

- "Mr. FuzzyWuzzy": belt-fed 40mm contact-fused-grenade launcher, 7,600 rpm(!) cyclic

- "Sarah Brady": 'dolt-action' rifle, with bayo lug, 30-rd. mag, flash suppressor, sound suppressor, other banned 'evil' features. PS - 'dolt-action' refers to a gun that has a fake barrel, and fires through the stock instead ;P

My personal favorite was a shotgun sort of like a SPAS-12 that they called the "Street-Sweeper".
Needless to say, they're not available in the US anymore.

-CEO of WL (Weapon Logistics) has a small problem. He got a message saying the xxxth Airborne needed supplies - "supply on demand, via Agra, about 120 000 pieces a day".

Now the CO of xxxth Airborne ponder over what to do with roughly 20 kiloton of small blue "bullets" that won´t fit his guns.
