Not Just Hate Mail... But a Threat!
I'm not sure what post set it off, but I just got this e-mail from henk nak (edited to make it clean enough for primetime): I hope you will be f--ked in your tiny little a** with the biggest cactus on the face of the earth. I try to be a courteous blogger, so I try to respond to anyone who takes the effort to e-mail me: Hello Henk Nak! Thanks for the input. I'm not sure how that whole thing with the cactus might actually happen, but it doesn't sound unpleasant, so I think I'll have to disagree with you on that issue. Keep the mail coming! UPDATE: Apparently he used someone else's e-mail who was from Holland, so the response was wasted. Oh well. 14 Responses To "Not Just Hate Mail... But a Threat!"
He's probably one of them damn commies. I hate damn commies, they got no sense of humor. #1 - Posted by: Odie on April 17, 2003 07:49 PMcan you make a hate mail section? its allways fun to read about how hippies think us realists are so evil and what not. #2 - Posted by: mike on April 17, 2003 08:31 PMI second the idea of a hate mail section. #3 - Posted by: WAL on April 17, 2003 11:54 PMI'll look into making it into a new category this weekend. Something will appear tomorrow that may also get it's own category. #4 - Posted by: Frank J. on April 18, 2003 12:13 AMMaybe it wasn't hate mail. Maybe he just saw Blazing Saddles and wanted to impress you with his insights into American pop culture. #5 - Posted by: Adriane on April 18, 2003 12:43 AM"Blazing Saddles" has more insights into American pop culture and the true wild west than he does! The fact that you are now receiving hate mail proves that you have arrived. #6 - Posted by: Bloodthirsty Warmonger on April 18, 2003 02:48 AManother vote for the hate-mail section. #7 - Posted by: harhar on April 18, 2003 08:10 AMIsn't it funny how people like this moron always think they share their views with the 'complete planet' or some other asshatted envirowacko care bear term? Here's one Estonian who doesn't hate the US, for instance. But according to Henk, I'm from the other Estonia on Mars, apparently. Hey, a blood red planet named after the god of War. Aside from the lack of oxygen here, it's a pretty nice place. #8 - Posted by: Sam on April 18, 2003 11:19 AMThanks, Sam. I don't even know where Estonia is, but I hope everyone there is as cool as you. On the blogroll! #9 - Posted by: Frank J. on April 18, 2003 11:41 AMDude, Frank, I'm gonna start sending you the best damn hate mail you'll ever get! I rock at writing hate mail. It'll be full of curse words, crazy left-leaning rantings and tons of America (especially Florida) bashing. Just like a Maureen Dowd column, only relevant. #10 - Posted by: Andy on April 18, 2003 02:08 PMThanks, Frank. Estonia's just to the east of Sweden, west of Russia, south of Finland, and north of just about everyone else, as you could probably tell from the April 5th blizzards we get. As to the coolness of Estonians, of course none of them measure up to yours truly, but a good many come close. Being, after all, populated with human beings, we are also cursed with leftist twits. Our government is right-wing, and will continue to be, for which I'm very glad. #11 - Posted by: Sam on April 18, 2003 03:57 PMThere are lots of crazy people in the world. I learned this back in the earlier days of the Internet after my twin brother and I created a very innocent Web site about twins and other multiple birth siblings. We got written up in some national magazines and then some really scary hate mail started coming from all over the globe. It amazed us that there are people out there who are so messed up they hate people just for being twins! Some of them even had our street address from the Whois look up and sent threats saying they were going to come find us. Keep in mind that our site contained no controversial content at all. It was just information and advice for twins and their parents. One looney actually believed that twins are aliens sent to earth to conduct pre-invasion research. Her paranoid rants would have been amusing if it were not for the fact that she seemed dangerous (threatening to rid the world of "monsters" like me and my bro by shooting us in the head). In her sick mind, our Web site was proof that the "alien twins" were organizing and the invasion close at hand. And, there were the sex perverts. Their e-mail messages would always start out with "I've always had this fantasy about twins..." Ugh! Send a letter to Penthouse! Someone needs to write a book entitled "Even Crazy People Have Computers" and give examples like this guy who wants to sodomize someone with a cactus because he disagrees with his political views. He's a sicko! #12 - Posted by: Fritz on April 20, 2003 09:30 AMI've actually gone to the trouble of looking at ALOT of "alternative" sites in order to form my own independant opinion.I've come to the conclusion that I will vote for our president to be re-elected.When everything is said and done I think most reasonable people will agree that he is not only a GREAT President but a man with great vision. #13 - Posted by: on July 21, 2003 12:19 AMYou could get a new lease on life -- if only you didn't need the first Post a comment
