Ten Best - My Picks
Here's a rough draft of my picks for top ten posts... whoops, I guess that's eleven. Well, I'll just call it a "Baker's Ten". Anyway, I wanted it to be a good sampling of humor so that I could point someone new to this site to this list to see what I'm all about. I didn't want it too dominated by In My World™ posts, and those I chose I wanted to be understandable to someone who had never read one before. So, do you think I missed a really good one that better deserves to be on this list? When I finish making the picks I'll make a permanent page of my best posts with an intro explaining my site. A Frank Guide to Homeland Security Alert Levels Know Thy Enemy: Airline Terrorists Usually It's the One with the Gun Who Gets to Ask the Questions Frank Answers: Ninjas, Irresistible Forces, Light Bulbs, and You're the Pussy In My World: Rumsfeld Wants Talks with North Korean Leader In My World: Stupid People No Like War In My World: If Iraq Uses WMD's, the U.S. May Respond with Happiness In My World: Cheney Wishes Undisclosed Location Was More Disclosed 9 Responses To "Ten Best - My Picks"
I can tell you my top ten right off the top of my head at all times. My best ten post are always the next ten posts that I write. #1 - Posted by: Tiger on September 16, 2003 11:30 PMIt's like it was only yesterday...."Ride of the Warmongerers" was the blog that took my IMAO cherry. I suppose that's why I have favoritism but, COME ON! I know, you’re the Grand Funny Wizard and all, but I still can't believe it didn't make it. Oh well, you are still the funniest, and I'll still come back. U ROCK! #2 - Posted by: lumen8r on September 17, 2003 01:21 AMI was thinking of having that one since it's a more recent one and approachable to new readers. This is a rough draft, so more suggestions are appreciated. #3 - Posted by: Frank J. on September 17, 2003 07:10 AMI'd call them my Spinal Tap 10. But...it goes to eleven. #4 - Posted by: Phil on September 17, 2003 09:38 AMI find it hard to understand why you would't include Nuke The Moon. Seems that essay pretty well wraps up the website. D'oh, you're right. Maybe I don't need to limit myself to a Baker's ten. #6 - Posted by: Frank J. on September 17, 2003 11:48 AM"Nuke The Moon" definitely needs inclusion. But "Career Day" remains the single most defining thing you've ever done. The entire piece works from beginning to end with nary a single failed joke or missed opportunity: flawless, like an egg. #7 - Posted by: Jeff B. on September 17, 2003 03:36 PMwhat about "Know Thy Enemy: Sars" ??? #8 - Posted by: on September 17, 2003 04:36 PMTerrorist FAQ was my favorite. #9 - Posted by: CANCER on September 17, 2003 06:39 PMPost a comment
