The Actual Most Important Post I've Written...
Posted by Frank J. at 08:26 PM | View blog reactions | Comments (12)

...except it's over here. No Links of the Day™ today; everyone (not just Alliance members) check this out and tell me it's a good idea. If you write a blog or read a blog, maybe you can help fight an important front of our war on terror.

Definitely the most important post you've ever made.

And I think I speak for the majority when I say we're behind you on this one.

FANTASTIC idea, Frank. I have a feeling you're going to be inundated with responses. Seems to me, all of a sudden, a whole bunch of people are really really ticked off and sick to death of the negative drumbeat... so let's put that energy to good use.

I don't think you should use Iraq in the title, if possible to avoid. We have soldiers all over the world--I have one letter from a guy stationed in Djibouti right now, where some of the hottest covert action is taking place. Our troops in Afghanistan already feel kind of ignored. This is a big, wide, long war.

Maybe something like ListenToOurSoldiers... along those lines.

I left a response over there for you, Frank. I had already been planning on starting a second site of "Our Stories" to complement my history site...I'd be happy to redirect my energies to this venture.

Becoming a new reader to this blog war. I was wondering exactly what a blog is.
I looked into the definition of it in the dictionary, but guess what!!!! I doesn't exist.
Now can some blogger explain to me exactly what this is supposed to be all about.
The only thing i see is a group'a people criticisin' others.

Ouch, a link from Lucianne. Kiss your bandwidth goodbye! :)

Anything we can do to help, let us know

WTG Mr. J !

I'll be a faithful reader, wherever these stories may be.

Ash r,

Don't look in the dictionary, web logging is too new for that.

Do a Google search for "blog definition".

That'll take care of it.

Great post, Frank. You're not over your head at all.

I have been reading your blog for awhile, but never commented. Your humor is outstanding, but now I am even more impressed with your serious side. This is a good idea. I am going to get in touch with the military poeple I know who are or have served in Irag or afgahnistan(sp?) and ask them to write something. I saw an amazing poll on ABC news this morning that was taken of Iraqi citizens. It showed that 60% approved of what we did. 67% thought they would be better off within 5 years and only 8% thought they would not be better off. Who new that 8% of the Iraq population was smoking crack?? This must have slipped past the liberal media censors. Some intern is probably being flogged for letting a favorable poll make it on the air.

Great idea, Frank. I have been keeping a sort of "good news" file myself.....saving each and every e-mail I get from my cousin (who is the highest enlisted rank you can be in the Army) in Iraq and my friend Paul who has been from Ground Zero through Afghanistan and now home from Iraq. The most notable of all to me is how up-beat and positive they have been from the get-go. My Paul is coming for a visit soon and promises many stories. He was collecting historical data as his assignment. I cannot wait. I also have another close friend about to be deployed in the next wave, another VIP, and know that I will hear allot about his future experience. I will be glad to find out how much they are able to share and pass it on. Thank you.
