Links of the Week
It's the weekend and I have other things to do than post. Here's some places to find more funny, though. My sister just e-mailed me this flash animation this morning. This is the reason the internet was invented. You like humor about Rachel Corrie? Here's Emperor Misha I's fisking/additions to Corrie's Song. And here are some Beatle's songs made to honor Corrie from one of Misha's loyal citizens. You can learn a lot from a bulldozer. When I read Harry Knowles's review of Matrix Revolutions, I felt like fisking it. Luckily, Lileks did it for me. And if you haven't read Kim du Toit's essay on the pussification of the western male and the ensuing discussion, you missed a lot. 8 Responses To "Links of the Week"
Thank Heather for all of us. A great use for excess bandwidth! #2 - Posted by: David on November 8, 2003 05:58 PMwhere did that flash animation come from?!?!?! please send replies to oasis1@geocities.com thanks #3 - Posted by: david on November 8, 2003 06:03 PMWow, did Kim's essay cause a flap or what? I agreed with him. I think a lot of detractors did not read the essay but based their opinion on Michele's extracts. #4 - Posted by: alfredo stroessner on November 8, 2003 07:41 PMI did Simon & Garfunkel and Monty Python treatments of the Blessed St. Rachel of IHOP. See Oh My God, They Killed Corrie, Those Bastards! (Part II) -- Apologies to Simon and Garfunkle (has original artwork) and Death of Rachel Corrie, Queen of Gaza / Exploding Infant on TV Set #5 - Posted by: Aaron's Rantblog on November 9, 2003 06:31 AMSeriously enjoyed Kim's essay, but failed to find the ensuing discussion. #6 - Posted by: Cpt.Dysentery on November 9, 2003 12:25 PMFrank J, Stankie, can I call you that? I feel like we're practically family. Yea, I'm not only employing your sister but now I'm letting her live with me too! She has divulged all your deepest secrets in exchange for hot showers. I think was good negotiating on her part, don't you? Anyway, I'm a little upset about loosing my internet credit for the Flash Animation. If it wern't for me you would never have enjoyed such pure comedy and I DESERVE THE CREDIT! Actually, I was just so excited that my name had originally appeared on your site that I felt pain and loss at the recent change. So, do as you will... What is the current politically correct phrase for "Indian Giver"? Love, Gah! Why doesn't that Roman insult come back to haunt me! #8 - Posted by: Frank J. on November 11, 2003 08:07 AMPost a comment
