Not Funny
I'm pissed, and I don't write good humor when I'm angry. Right now my main concern is finding out more about the terrorist attack in Madrid (looking more like it's by al Qaeda), and that's certainly not something to be flipant about. When we see that many innocent men, women, and children killed, nationality disappears in an instant and all I see are people suffering and evil out there. And I'm pissed. Spain had some huge allies in us, Britain, and others, and justice will be coming like a bat out of hell for those responsible. Do little, pathetic terroists think they really can intimidate us. Do they think their attacks will do anything other than make us more resolved in killing the bastards? Anyway, I don't know what will happen with posting tomorrow. If anyone knows ways people here in the States can help Spain, please tell me in the comments. 34 Responses To "Not Funny"
The terrorists remind me of the junior high school outcast kids that listen to hard music and dress in black while talking themselves up about how "bad" they are. Pathetic worms. How to help Spain: That should about do it. #1 - Posted by: LibertyBob on March 11, 2004 07:16 PMFrank, Glenn Reynolds has posted an address for the Spanish embassy here where flowers and other support can be sent. They're also having a silent protest in DC noon tomorrow for any of your readers who live in the DC area. It's not much, but at least we can show our support. Does anyone know any Spanish charities that are helping with the situation?
I think that the best way anyone could help about the Madrid bombing is with being honest in looking for the truth. And pray for the families and the survivors, because there are 193 death, but 1400+193+billions of victims. Some people have seen their life changing today in a way which is not reversible, against which we cannot fight, and against which nobody can really help. So maybe the truth to see those responsible condemned. That is one of the many ways to help. I think that the Catholic funds will help for the situation. The Spanish are "hard believers". Liberty Bob, every one has listened hard music once in his life. I, myself have even be a punk. So guess... #4 - Posted by: Amphitryon on March 11, 2004 07:29 PMHow am I going to help Spain? Beating up more liberals than usual and pay attention in Spanish class (it's the least I can do for Spain) I might donate some money too. #5 - Posted by: rapp on March 11, 2004 07:32 PMThese terrorists are so stupid, don't they see that they strengthen our resolve every time they pull this kind of crap (I know, there were no repercussions on Bill Clinton's watch, but maybe now they're starting to get it). 2 questions: Where is the outrage from the Muslim community and leadership? Why aren't they bombing France or Germany? #6 - Posted by: jonag on March 11, 2004 07:59 PMYou might be underestimating the resolve of these terrorists. they could do this sort of cowardly warfare forever, no matter the cost to them. the whole "strengthen our resolve" thing works in reverse, too. #7 - Posted by: Stadt on March 11, 2004 08:20 PMAll the civilized countries need to show their solidarity with Spain, as should have happened on 9-11. Hopefully Canada will finally stand arm in arm with our Spanish cousins. #8 - Posted by: The Bear on March 11, 2004 08:26 PMSpain had some huge allies in us, Britain, and others, and justice will be coming like a bat out of hell for those responsible. Doubtful, the little bastards can be fuggin invisible when they want to be. assuming they aren't already martyrs. Do little, pathetic terroists think they really can intimidate us. Absolutly. They can't REALLY intimidate us with what they have now, but if the terrorists manage to step up the severity and number of their attacks, things might be different. Think suitcase nukes or airplane hijackings on a monthly or even weekly basis. that'd be pretty damn intimidating. Do they think their attacks will do anything other than make us more resolved in killing the bastards? quite possibly. If the terrorists could pull of in America what they're doing in Israel currently (not likely), with better weapons and a higher civilian kill count, there is a chance that pressure could be placed upon the president to cave to their demands. not likely to happen, but its what their aiming for. its the only way they could fight the united states. #9 - Posted by: Stadt on March 11, 2004 08:42 PMjust fly the Spanish flag to show your support, that's what they did for us #10 - Posted by: rapp on March 11, 2004 08:54 PMI think they could win... if Kerry (or any other Democrat right now) was in office. We would withdraw again, just like Somalia, or do half-assed things like after the Cole. Against Bush, they can't, because he has called their bluff, has resolve, and is prepared to incineratre the little b@##@rds no matter what the cost. The US is far too reluctant to suffer casualties to achieve our ends, and our enemies know this and use it. Wait one second though! I can see the thoughts flying through your minds, I am in the military, and I would, and most of my friends would, sacrifice our lives to achieve these objectives. You will find support for Bush strongest in the military actually, even among Democrats.... #11 - Posted by: TZ on March 11, 2004 09:03 PMone word: Marines
I read on AOL that the titadyn suspected to have been used by the terrorists might be the same than the titadyn that was robe twice in France by ETA. "Robe". 'Bout time Medina, Mecca and the Dome of the Rock were turned into molten glowing pools of glass. Risk of holy war?!? Sure. Let's do it!! We kill more of each other on long holiday weekends than these bastards could ever dream of!!! #14 - Posted by: MAJ Mike on March 11, 2004 09:27 PMThese bastards have to be under the influence of Satan to do such horrible things, or at least the desert-dried cowshit they believe in is an offshoot of the Church of Satan (not to be confused with RATIONAL Islam.) This shit is going too far, and if we pull out of the Mideast too soon then all our efforts to bring freedom to all the people in Iraq and Afghanistan over the past 2 1/2 years will be thrown in the shitter. The price of freedom when threatened by murderous shits like Al-Queda and everyone who supports them is eternal vigilance. #15 - Posted by: Mob_Triggerman on March 11, 2004 09:39 PMMy deepest sympathy goes out to those who had friends and family who were killed or injured in the bombings, not to mention the victims themselves. We can't back down until every last one of the Islamo-Fascist fuckers is brought to justice, either here on earth, or in the presence of God. #16 - Posted by: Mob_Triggerman on March 11, 2004 09:44 PMFrank: Frank, are you still pissed off ? #18 - Posted by: Amphitryon on March 11, 2004 10:15 PMWell... it happened again. Spain got hit this time, less casualties, but still its the same principle as 9-11. Spain, our thoughts, our prayers, and percision guided missles are with you. Lets kill some rag heads. Nuke the bastards... #19 - Posted by: The Dead Frenchman on March 11, 2004 10:37 PMThis shit is going too far, and if we pull out of the Mideast too soon then all our efforts to bring freedom to all the people in Iraq and Afghanistan over the past 2 1/2 years will be thrown in the shitter. What's worse, we'll have shown the ragheaded Islamofascists that they really CAN win, thus encouraging them to do more of the same in the future. Nuke Meccah. NOW. Emperor Misha I, you have never been a wise man. Mob_Triggerman, here is Baphomet, worshiped by the Knights Templars, the freemasons and... read it. #21 - Posted by: Amphitryon on March 11, 2004 10:49 PM5. Carpet Bomb Chicago. IB - What!? What's wrong with Chi-town? Besides being the best city on earth! #22 - Posted by: Illinois Boy on March 11, 2004 11:02 PMThere will always be spineless individuals that will hide behind a religion, belief, political party, or ideal, and warp it so that they can justify killing innocent people. The Catholic Church says "Peace is not merely the absence of war..." I firmly believe this. It's sad when idiots kill others to fit some agenda. #23 - Posted by: Haagus on March 11, 2004 11:08 PMHaagus, Terrorist attacks are not only killing. They affect in the sense that they question our believes to know why this happened, and lastly to discover that the enemy might not be only the other. The enemy might be the one we fear the less, such France that veto, that insults, that makes a politic of irony and that might probably be linked to most the last years terror. Terrorism is worse than war, because it is all made of psychology, and underground organizations make it worse because we never know who is the friend, and who is not. And it is when you need the most your friends that you discover that there might not have any. War is not that weird to compare with terrorism. #24 - Posted by: Amphitryon on March 11, 2004 11:32 PMIf this is Islamic terrorism, then how will the Spanish people react? Will they blame those who did the bombings - or will they look at their leaders and how Spain supported the US in Iraq and blame themselves and perhaps even President Bush? #25 - Posted by: Poosh on March 11, 2004 11:44 PMPoosh, I suggest that they look at their toes and remark that the earth is under their feet. And this is meditational. #26 - Posted by: Amphitryon on March 11, 2004 11:53 PMThe Islamofacists have made it perfectly clear that Western Civilization is their enemy. We should respect that, and treat them as our enemy - by eradicating them by any means whatsoever. Any questions? #27 - Posted by: Darth Bubba on March 12, 2004 12:00 AMDarth, I agree with you, but I apply that to any terrorist organization. If you don't stand for basic human rights, and are willing to kill innocent human beings to try and advance your cause, I hope you and I meet, I have some target practice to do. This stuff makes me sick: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=104&topic_id=1219906&mesg_id=1219906 To imply that the terrorist bombing is somehow linked to Karl Rove....WTF. I have 0 respect for democrats that ever considered this. #28 - Posted by: Haagus on March 12, 2004 12:09 AMThe terrorists remind me of the junior high school outcast kids that listen to hard music and dress in black while talking themselves up about how "bad" they are. Pathetic worms. LibertyBob... While I agree I really hate most of those kids, make-up wearing liberals, their idiots mostly but ... I Get PLACED into that Catagory! Nothing wrong with Hard Music ( Metal )... good violent songs when it comes down to it. Just sad when these "Violence" Rock bands open their liberal mouths about politics and force me to not listen to them anymore. However, Alot of my favorite Metal bands are currently Conservative i.e. Chimaira, Static-X, Ozzy, Superjoint Ritual ... ect.. While I may not wear make up ( never have, never will... too faggish ) Alot of my clothing is black. ( band shirts, I dont always wear black but I have alot of it. ) Not all of us are Pathetic Worms... just into the music. If any of you are into Metal.. I suggust listening to S.O.D.'s "Fuck the Middle East" or "Speak English or Die" #29 - Posted by: OsamaMustDie on March 12, 2004 12:14 AMYou mean "Speak English or Die" like this ? Same guy, different name. All that to say that speaking of sandwiches on March 11, 2004 was not a good idea. It's weird actually. The Limey makes IMAO weird. "By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, The canary told you this was going to happen. #32 - Posted by: Aaron's Rantblog on March 12, 2004 07:13 AMKerry has been getting pointers from Clinton of late. Slick Willie has probably given Botox Boy a plan to appease ETA much like the Impeachable One did with Sinn Fein. #33 - Posted by: El Jefe on March 12, 2004 08:09 AM"Do they think their attacks will do anything other than make us more resolved in killing the bastards?" Yes, they do. And you know what's so disappointing about the whole thing? When it comes to the Spanish electorate, apparently they're right. #34 - Posted by: Tynan on March 16, 2004 12:35 AMPost a comment
