Teenagers!!!
Posted by Frank J. at 10:35 AM | View blog reactions | Comments (30)

SarahK's run in with the blight of society - teenagers - makes me so upset I don't know if I'll be able to announce.

Kidding. I'll announce soon... and announce like announcing has never been announced before!

Hey! I'm 17, and I mildly resent that post. I'd have returned her phone to her because she's really, really hot.

Oh, and first.

#2 - Posted by: Tim E. on August 16, 2004 10:49 AM

Oh, Goody! I can cuss on this site! But I'm past the anger now...

But SarahK really ought to have called her own cell phone, claimed she knew the parents and needed to call them at work.. "You know.. for stuff, and things!" (Being a stupid teenager this would make irrefutable sense to the little moron.)

Then calmly called the parents, explained the situation - then helpfully suggest a full-on ASSWHUP'N! was in order after the phone was safely back in SarahKs' possession. M'kay?

#3 - Posted by: LokiDoki on August 16, 2004 10:54 AM

Oh, yes and clarification:

This was a Stoopid teenager. Tim E, I am sure your a decent upstanding young man, along with that nice 'Reed the Viking' fellow. There are exceptions to the rule..

#4 - Posted by: LokiDoki on August 16, 2004 10:59 AM

did i mention that i tried to call the phone all day, and no one answered?

and did i mention that this family lives down the street from my sister, and i don't want her to get shot in a drive-by over my phone that i have back?

and did i mention that either her older brother or her dad stole my sister's purse and other valuables from her car recently?

stellar family.

#5 - Posted by: sarahk on August 16, 2004 10:59 AM

Woohoo! Upstanding! This calls for a kegger and vandalism.

#6 - Posted by: Tim E. on August 16, 2004 11:03 AM

Drink the keg, and toss the empty keg through their window? I like it!

As for the hating of teenagers, I'm 18, and I fuly agree - the average teenager couldn't count to 21 without unzipping. But if you really want revenge, just give out her phone number and encourage crank calls ;)

#7 - Posted by: Alsadius on August 16, 2004 11:14 AM

Arlington?? Wait a minute......you don't work at Fantasy Ranch do you? Arlington?? Hell, you're just asking for trouble. You need to move to Weatherford or Azle or somewhere like that where the teens are outstanding. Maybe Burleson or Cleburne or something.

#8 - Posted by: Sticky B on August 16, 2004 11:18 AM

LOL, alsadius. 21 w/o unzipping. me laugh.

#9 - Posted by: sarahk on August 16, 2004 11:19 AM

SarahK, That is a tough call worrying about retaliation against your sister. I was going to suggest that you make sure her parents & coach know what miss junior hood did but it sounds like telling the parents is wasting breath.

There may be future benefit to your sister getting the police involved once. Alot of these type people back down when confronted one time. Otherwise they may continue to see well behaved little Sizzle/her house/family as easy targets.

#10 - Posted by: mike_rdr on August 16, 2004 11:24 AM

Oh, Dear!

I'm sorry SarahK, I must have missed (or forgot) those posts. I definitely forgot about the "but her blank stare said, "and why is not answering the phone when they call it trying to find it bad?"

This is why I try not to should on people. My Bad, Sorry. I'm shutting up now... (red faced and embarassed, slinking away now...)

#11 - Posted by: LokiDoki on August 16, 2004 11:35 AM

say, isn't it an hour before lunchtime out your way? or did Charley roll the clocks back?

#12 - Posted by: sarahk on August 16, 2004 11:42 AM

F***in' punk kids!....bad parenting...no respect for others...all belong in prison...death w/out parole!

#13 - Posted by: Rob on August 16, 2004 11:44 AM

I've often said that a big problem with many adults is that they weren't beated adequately as children. We should always do the favor of giving beatings when appropriate.

#14 - Posted by: LibertyBob on August 16, 2004 11:47 AM

I'm with sarahk. and my refresh button can only take so much-- ANNOUNCE ALREADY!!!

#15 - Posted by: amy on August 16, 2004 11:51 AM

Yes, I'm on eastern time too and fighting the nods here... Come on Frank! Announce already before I go

to...

Zzzzzzzz......

#16 - Posted by: LokiDoki on August 16, 2004 12:01 PM

Hey, not all teenagers are bad. Any teenager who reads IMAO (like me!) has to be pretty darn great.

#17 - Posted by: Katie on August 16, 2004 12:22 PM

‘member the good old days, when you’d call out the offendin’ teenager's dad and just wup' him good, and then he would take offendin’ teenager and pass on the wuppin' to make the point... And then we'd all get out our squirrel guns and commence to playin' "lead tag" with each other until someone was "it", and then we'd tell our families about "lead tag", and they'd come over to play too... and ‘for ya know’d it, the sheriff or the revenuer’d come and make us quit unless they were a member o’ the other family, and then they’d play tag too?? ‘member those days?

Errr….. what were we talking about….? Oh yeah, SK, this is where I’d slip the local bully a $20 to kick the teenager’s butt after you are long gone…. Plausible deniability is the key here.

#18 - Posted by: Over the Top on August 16, 2004 02:50 PM

Over the Top, wrong concept. You're not looking for plausible deniability, you're looking for a reasonable doubt :P

#19 - Posted by: Alsadius on August 16, 2004 02:57 PM

I'm with Katie!

#20 - Posted by: Jen on August 16, 2004 05:17 PM

#21 - Posted by: Shockwave on August 16, 2004 06:35 PM

How can teenagers be the blight of society? I thought hippies were the blight of society!

#22 - Posted by: Katie on August 16, 2004 06:48 PM

HIPPIES SMELL

#23 - Posted by: Joshua on August 16, 2004 08:28 PM

I fourth Katie! Oh, wait...

#24 - Posted by: Katie on August 16, 2004 09:22 PM

That Teenager article was COMPLETELY out of line. It was offensive and should be removed immediately or you will be hearing from my lawyer. That was an unfair judgement off all teenagers based on the actions of a few. I bet those teenagers who stole your phone were black, and because they were black you lied about them stealing your phone so you could either get them arrested or whitemail(I oppose the racist term "blackmail") them into giving you their phone. I may be white and live in an almost completely white suburb and the only black person I know is the one who vallet parks my car every time I go to work, but I UNDERSTAND the kind of hardship they go through.(That is why I tip him $.50 each time he brings my $75,000 H2 around) I know you didn't write the article but by linking to it you are obviously putting forth your own racist and sexist ideals. Sexist because the author of the article in question was a woman and I am positive that the only reason you linked to her, besides your racist tendencies, is to try to deceive intelligent people like me into believing you are not actually a racist sexist pig.

*beep* This has been the rant I WOULD have put forth had I been a raging liberal feminazi (feminist-nazi), but considering I am NOT, I will now follow with my own musings *beep*

Well being a teenager I do understand that there are MANY idiotic, illogical teenagers out there who do not understand the concept of cause and effect, and are seriously lacking in the area of good morals. I have always been quite annoyed with generalizations because there is always an exception, but I understand for comedic purposes they can be quite useful. I belong to the group with the least ammount of free speech the "W.A.S.P." White Anglo-Saxon Protestant, as I have heard it called. Truly "W.M.P." (White Male Protestant) would be more accurate, but wasp sounds cooler. So pretty much anytime I get the chance to talk about anything I take it. I would much appreciative if you could change the article to read "teenagers (except Tyler) - make(s) me so upset I don't know if I'll be able to announce." Because frankly at times I tend to be a tad selfish and this just happens to be one of those times. I do much enjoy your articles frank j. keep up the good work, (you too sarah ;) )

~T (16, really)

Thank you.

#25 - Posted by: Tyler on August 16, 2004 10:16 PM

it wouldn't be as sweeping and interesting if i didn't generalize.

#26 - Posted by: sarahk on August 16, 2004 11:48 PM

I despise teenagers too, even though there are, indeed, some of them who aren't quite as stupid as others. And yet, there remain those inner demons...*ehem* nevermind...

omg people get a life... come on im a teenager and im fine... im only 13!!! come on now nothing is wrong with me... the only reason they did that to you is probably cuz you did something to them first think really... you make a generalization about all teenages as if all of them are empty-minded annoying things (you probably dont even consider us human... you just consider us just trash which is just wrong) plus did you ever think you were once a teenager... and i bet you you were just like us...seriously get a life and dont go against teenagers just cuz of one teen you encountered... i bet if i met you i would do much worse cuz of how you talk about us... it makes me despise people like you and i do talk to adults so dont say that idk wtf im talking about cuz ppl think im a lot more older then i am... i think i would even act more mature then you...now come on....
