October Surprise, Yo!
Posted by Frank J. at 08:48 AM | View blog reactions | Comments (57)

So, according to some new documents, Kerry was taking marching orders for his anti-war movement directly from the Viet Cong. Hell, they haven't finished translating all the documents yet; his whole presidency may be a Commie Vietnamese plot of revenge.

Anyone know of any other blog with some good detail or analysis about this, 'cause it ain't a small thing if it's true.

Thanks to the lovely and talented SarahK for pointing me to the article.

UPDATE: Wizbang is right, we need a good name for this scandal.

My Suggestions Thus Far:

Commiegate
The Kerry Commie Surrender Puppet Story
The Story That Is Seared - Seared - Into Our Memories
Kerry the Commie Tool Reminiscent of Jenjis Khan
I Have a Plan... Straight from Ho Chi Minh!
An American Tool in Paris
The French/Commie Connection
The Manchurian Dingus

I'm thinking of just going with "Commie Puppetgate." You really need that "gate" in there to make it sound scandalous.

WND is the only place i've seen this. i'm looking for more confirmation, too. this is the type of thing that rush excels at. let's hope he busts it open.

Perhaps the most brilliant thing about Bush's campaign strategy this election is simply this: He doesn't stand in the way of Kerry hanging himself.

And if these documents are true.... I am provisionally furious.

#3 - Posted by: Chim-Chim on October 26, 2004 09:12 AM

Commie!!! I forwarded the link to Drudge.

#4 - Posted by: AngryCuban on October 26, 2004 09:14 AM

I'm surprised Drudge doesn't already have it.

#5 - Posted by: Frank J. on October 26, 2004 09:18 AM

This is not at all surprising, there is plenty of evidence that Kerry is as far to the whacky left as it gets and has actively worked against the US interests.

The real question...Does anyone believe that, regardless of what they find about how dirty this guy is, his support base is going to stop supporting him?

From what I can see looking around this country, the Dems are quite vocal that they do NOT care about truth or ethics. They are already trying to cheat the election process, already planning to cry foul and make false claims of voter intimidation "even if none exists." ALready inciting violence, terrorizing innocent people, attacking campaign headquarters. Even if the majority of people in this country want Bush, they are planning to try and hijack the election because they do not believe the people should decide the election.

I think they will gladly chalk this up to a republican trick, regardless of the evidence, and vote Kerry anyway.

i think it's the same article (scroll down), but it's moving fast. this site's poll of nam vets is 97-3 and guess who the loser is

Visit Captains Quarters for a detailed summary:
http://www.captainsquartersblog.com/mt/

Information like this is devastating to Kandidatekerry because it is a clear window into his motivation; he is a surrender monkey.

Kerry mangled "Ghengis Khan" so badly during his testimony that, 30 years later, it makes Bush sound like a well-trained Thespian. :)

My article titled was copied, but the "communist sleeper agent" line was my own. I think you have to be a little older to remember the scare of finding communist sleeper agents at high levels of government. Of course, electing one president is an entirely different ball of wax.

I liked "An American Tool in Paris"

Mostly because it refers to Jean Franscois Hanoi Al-Quarry as a "tool".

this would be quite devistating, should it be accurate, but i question the timing, just like the rathergate memos. all the good guys (us) need is to have our credibility brought down to the level of CBS.

#38 - Posted by: JPAC on October 26, 2004 04:39 PM

Wow. And isn't it great that these guys found these papers just in time to distract us from the high explosives that were a "secondary concern," so the terrorists stole them, then the administration hid the fact from everyone. Yeah. Whew -- look! SHINY!

OK. I'm braced. Commence to bashing... ;)

#39 - Posted by: jean on October 26, 2004 04:54 PM

so far very few online news outlets and NO msm outlets are touching this. I am guessing that's because it is so inflammatory that most sources like Drudge, O'Reilly, Rush, etc., are taking time to fact check it as much as possible before running with it. It would suck if this turned out to be a fake--the libs would turn Rathergate back around on us. But the good news is, if the big names like Rush and O'Reilly take a few days to dig up as much as possible, then the real impact of this will hit the masses around the end of the week, giving Kerry little time to undo the damage before Tuesday.

the high explosives story broke in april 2003. what does thet tell you about these people?

some u.n. a-hole feeds the story to the ny (there is no truth) times, kerry runs with it, nbc runs the original story refuting it, and they still pretend it has merit.

they don't care about the truth, the law, the right thing to do, or anything except what they want right now, which for clinton was oral sex. and the only way to get the truth out of them is to confront them with a dna sample.

#47 - Posted by: pale rider on October 27, 2004 03:23 AM

My first choice:
I Have a Plan... Straight from Ho Chi Minh!
The second choice:
The Manchurian Dingus

How about wrong ideology, in the wrong country, at the wrong time? Or maybe Kerry: putting the Red in Red Sox. Or maybe in honor of Clint Eastwood: The boring, the bland, and the Commie?
