Muckadoos: Pest or Nuisance?
Posted by Frank J. at 09:18 AM | View blog reactions | Comments (39)

New crazy muckadooery from Democratic Underground. A woman who was eight months pregnant was murdered and the baby was cut from her stomach. Since its possible the baby is still alive, an Amber Alert was issued. But the CNN headline reads "U.S. alerts for stolen fetus" and the story describes who they are searching for as "an 8-month-old white female fetus" even though what we're clearly dealing with is a baby. D.U. agrees with me on this, but they’re shaking their tiny fists in impotent rage because they think the reason the baby is being called a fetus is because of Christian fundamentalists in control of the media.

Try and follow the twists and turns of that logic without getting lost.

If regular people are on Earth, these people are way up flying through the cosmos - angry at everything they see. So, how many of these people are there? Are they just a tiny minority of complete nutsos, or do we need to keep our shotguns loaded?

Gosh, Frank J.! You come up with the craziest stuff! Funny, funny, funny ... what? That's for real? You're not pulling my leg? There are folks that really are like that? Holy crap.

Time to brush up on my old Army training.

If the baby was alive when removed from the woman, it is no longer a fetus, it is a baby and the amber alert should say this.

Peterson was sentenced to death for killing Connor, but if Laci had walked into a Planned Parenthood and had Connor aborted that same day instead it wouldn't even be a homicide.

What a country

One of my LLL friends thought the entire reason for the economic downturn of fall of 2000 was caused by doubts about the election results. I thought he was a lunatic at the time, but he was a light of reason compared to these people. I'd say that the lunacy is getting worse. As you've said before, pray for their sanity, and get a concealed carry permit.

Is an eight-month-old fetus “born” even though she was violently torn away and stolen from her Mother’s womb? If not "forced birth" or something, what would you call it? And wasn’t this something The Manson Family once did? I hope there’s a special level in hell for these types of people.

#9 - Posted by: Mr. Bubble on December 17, 2004 09:54 AM

The tide is turning. The death of Conner Peterson is a murder. States pass "Laci's law" or something similar to it, which makes it a double-homicide to kill a pregnant woman and her baby (crazy enough, pro-women's rights activists are against it, even though laws like these protect women even more). Then this - an Amer Alert for an unborn child. It's got to be driving the liberals nuts.

CNN's headline is just one more attempt by the left to cling onto their "it's a fetus and a growth in a woman's body... like a tumor!" mentality.

The Left's abortion problem will be their downfall. How sad it is to root against life.

#10 - Posted by: Hale on December 17, 2004 10:17 AM

as frank very adeptly put it some time ago about DU:" a train wreck of human thought"

#11 - Posted by: mojo9 on December 17, 2004 10:25 AM

The Fox headline states fetus as well. This is just like calling terrorists "insurgents, freedom fighters, gunmen, ect ..." and illegal aliens "immigrant workers".

#12 - Posted by: gaskar on December 17, 2004 10:43 AM

I blame Bush. After all, "Bush lied, Liberal brain cells died". Everyone knows that!

#13 - Posted by: AWG on December 17, 2004 10:44 AM

If they are going to call it a fetus, dont they have to give us an idea of just how long we have to wait before it becomes a baby?

#14 - Posted by: almost average on December 17, 2004 10:53 AM

We now go live to logic central at the DU:

This is Chewbacca. Now think about that for one moment -- that does not make sense. Why am I talking about Chewbacca when a baby's life is on the line? Why? I'll tell you why: I don't know.

It does not make sense. If Chewbacca does not make sense, you must acquit!

Here, look at the monkey. Look at the silly monkey!

Um...wait, I'm really confused here...CNN refered to the child as a fetus instead of an unborn child because they're trying to sensationalize the story? For the fundies in MO? If that was the case, wouldn't you call it a child or unborn child? What are they supposed to call it, a fetus or child? Oh, wait, I get it. The media should start refering to what the scientific community calls a fetus as an "unformed mass of worthless, lifeless meat and calcium deposits until that piece of nothing is pushed outta the womb. Then it can be a child...As long as it votes democrat.

These DU nuts are just clear off the map.

Other posts over there that have amused me the last few days:

- A school in Colorado didnt want to offend anyone by having a Christmas concert, so they had a concert to support the troops instead. DU reaction? That school is one step away from issuing knives and declaring "Bushjugend."

- Some guy in California noticed a military helicopter flying low overhead. The DU conclusion? The government must be stepping up its anti-civilian training in preparation of further restricions on civil liberties.

These people cant get around the fact that maybe, JUST MAYBE, government doesnt (and shouldnt) have all the power. What they really need to fear is their neighbors next door (good ol heat-packing conservatives) who arent exactly thrilled with them.

i try to call my kids "the little tax rebates" in front of my democrat in-laws, so that they understand that they at least have monitary value...this is one of the worst stories i have read in a while. thanks for bringing it to my attention, frank.

Do they make a special grade .50cal BMG for DU people, I just dont think 00 will do the trick will skulls that thick.

#20 - Posted by: Blaine on December 17, 2004 11:47 AM

uhhh i was born a month early by c section so i am i now or was i then just a fetus? I believe that once it is out of the mom it is now a baby. oh by the way i am not a Christian and i am a scientist.

#21 - Posted by: monkey on December 17, 2004 01:20 PM

and oh yeah i agree with tickletickle up there keep them loaded, and you should go get yourself an AK 74 (i like it better that the 47) or a Fal, so you can load up 20-70 rounds.

#23 - Posted by: gaskar on December 17, 2004 01:31 PM

I have recently seen several titles describing liberals. The most common ones I've seen are "Tinfoil-Hat Wearing..." and "Moonbat". "Muckadoo" has has a nice ring to it but I use the more difficult to type Tinfoil-Hat Wearing Moonbats or THWMs. In my not very humble opinion, this is more descriptive of liberals such as those worried about a media controlled by the fundamentalist Christian conspiracy.

#24 - Posted by: James Howell on December 17, 2004 02:21 PM

Occam's Razor: Why is the press on the hunt for a "fetus"?

'cause they're stoopid.

You think they could be bothered to look a word up in a dictionary?

That, or they're being super-nuanced: if the, um, unborn human is being held in an artificial womb, it's a fetus, I guess.

#25 - Posted by: on December 17, 2004 03:44 PM

Do they make a special grade .50cal BMG for DU people, I just dont think 00 will do the trick will skulls that thick.

Try .50cal depleted uranium railgun rounds; they ought to do the job, I think.

Heh, how apropriate... DU rounds for the DU! :oD

And AWG,that's good stuff there."DU for the DU"..heh

#29 - Posted by: Moe on December 17, 2004 05:16 PM

Wait a sec, they think that CNN, run by Ted Turner, who called his Christian employees "Jesusfreaks", is run by Christian fundamentalists??? I know democrats are dumb, and crazy, but WHAT THE HELL??? WHAT PLANET DO THEY LIVE ON? ARE THERE BUNNIES THERE?

Every republican should own a gun so we can shoot the people who are that dumb.

On a happy note, the baby has now been found and is alive and healthy.

I think this calls for the AA12 Fully Automatic Shotgun, from Mid America Recreations.

Never aim for a muckadoo's head. Like the cockroach, a muckadoo is capable of surviving without its brain for days.

#32 - Posted by: coffeeachiever on December 17, 2004 06:56 PM

My favorite post from DU(mb):

seriously - was that this was done by some anti-abortion wackos who want more laws passed protecting babies before they are born, like the Laci Peterson thing.

How much more hateful can these people become? Apparently you have to be a "wacko" to be angered by the "Laci Peterson thing" or to have a desire to protect unborn children. Because as we all know, Scott Peterson was just exercising his right to choose...

#33 - Posted by: nayrb5 on December 17, 2004 07:27 PM

I was born a month early-and disabled(I have Aspergers Syndrome) I guess I'm a mistake that should have never been born
///sarcasm off.

#34 - Posted by: annoyinglittletwerp on December 17, 2004 10:38 PM

CNN is now owned by Time-Warner, which as we ALL know is a conservative media conglomerate.

(Uhhh...I'm being sarcastic ya'll.)

I can't read DU anymore.....for fear of a stroke.

#35 - Posted by: Toxic Waste on December 17, 2004 10:52 PM

Those comments are just too much. It just shows the unpenetrable divide between us...they're saying that the media referred to the child as a 'fetus' b/c Christian fundamentalists insist on that, to bring attention to the pro-life position, and that they only really care about 'fetuses' not babies.

When I heard the media call the baby a 'fetus' I had the opposite reaction...I felt they were using that term b/c to use 'baby' would actually have to admit that an 8 month gestational child IS a BABY!! Not some clump of cells that can be aborted without remorse up until the day of delivery.

Am I nuts? After reading that thread I think I might be! It's hard for me to grasp this polar divide I guess.

#36 - Posted by: LC ima mommy on December 18, 2004 08:01 AM

Not a good way to start my birthday...though my friend told me about this just yesterday.

I'm all for keeping the guns fully loaded anyway. When I move back to California it will probably be time to get one myself.

#37 - Posted by: antodav on December 18, 2004 09:21 AM

Whoa. Now that is some seriously deranged logic. DU is always a source of such pleasure.

Dumbasses.

#38 - Posted by: Scott on December 19, 2004 01:22 AM

Hey I dont know if this is to late or if you read this still... but I think the only reason they called it a fetus was because they weren't sure if it was alive. If the baby never breathed it is legally (no politics involved in this post) a fetus. So they cant be SURE its not a fetus. It was DEFINATLY a fetus before so thats what they were sticking with
