Sorry, Bible scholars, but no post today. Hope to have that for tomorrow. As for the big change, tune in tomorrow morning.

Um... thought I had something else to say...

Eh, false alarm.

Be honorable, ronin.

UPDATE: Now I remember. This is funny. (hat tip RightWingNews)

Fristcle!

Damn you frank and your imaginary anouncements, it better involve a book deal, or dead Iraqi puppet show. Other wise there will be sanctions.

Urgent! This won't WAIT till tomorrow!

I'm new to this blog-reading thing and haven't so much as posted a comment before, so forgive me for not knowing how to get action when I see a critical misstep in the War on Terror; I'm really just an online gamer.

I'm sitting here listening to news reports of Syria positively begging to get into the Axis of Evil, and Iran seconding the nomination... and it suddenly strikes me that I've heard NO reports of the deployment of human shields! Has anyone even begun the mobilization process? Doesn't it take a while to get them in place? Are we going to war without sufficient planning again, ignoring a vital element of national power when we should be employing our every resource at maximum efficiency? Is Karl Rove on vacation or something, failing to optimize synergies of US military and antiAmerican power to reinforce the national will and bolster our overall national morale?

We need action right away on this. How does this lynch mob I've heard about get started? Do I send an email to Rep. Pelosi asking her to issue a call to arms... er, non-arms? Do I call Sen. Reid telling him to get on the telly ASAP? Will a letter addressed to 'Any Massachusetts Senator, Washington, D.C.' even be delivered? Should I be trying to find Jessie Jackson's blog, or writing to the editor of the New York Times? Iran doesn't even have an embassy here, right? And if Syria's embassy is closed down by the time a letter gets there, will their mail get forwarded to Sami Al-Arian or someone? How fast can Rep. Wrangel even introduce a bill to draft the Yale law school, anyway? Should I have started all this a week ago? Is it too late to get Congress to even put targetting of heavily human-shielded facilities on the agenda when they discuss the supplemental appropriations bill in the next few days?

My last Civics class was about 1974, so it didn't include the use of the internet for citizens needing to effect change. I sort of assumed that people were planning things properly without me, but now I'm not so sure. In these budget-pinching days, shouldn't we all be concerned at the flagrant waste of perfectly good munitions on unshielded targets? Well, half waste, maybe. Nonoptimal use, at the very least. You see what I'm getting at. Surely the 'Rush to War!' headlines start TOMORROW! Do something, Frank!

I'm nervous what changes will be made, this is one of my favorite websites. Frank's testosterone level is already dropping, I fear for this website.

#14 - Posted by: Duane on February 16, 2005 06:33 PM

Have no fear, Duane! Big Al is here! You saw the way I kissed Tipper, didn't you? And you know I invented Valentine's Day, don't you?

And you should hear me belt out those showtunes!

(pause)

Would you like to hear me sing showtunes?

(pause)

Anybody?

(double-long pause)

Well, never let it be said Al wasn't the one to get the party started!

"Guys and dolls! We're just a bunch of crazy guys and dolls! La la la la guys and dolls, and dolls and guys, and something something some-THINGGGGGGG!!!!"

Whew, I need to take a breather now. You all give it a try now!

#17 - Posted by: Bozark on February 16, 2005 10:56 PM

I fear that Frank's ball's may have already been removed by the T-Shirt chick and...I can hardly bare the thought and can't continue so let's hope I'm wrong... we'll see...
