Straight from the fever swamp . . .
Posted by Cadet Happy at 02:15 PM | View blog reactions | Comments (23)

It's probably bad form to link to something that LGF has linked to, but I would be doing you a disservice if I didn't maximize your chances of reading the funniest thing i've read in awhile. A fever dream over at DU . . .

If the Dems taking back Congress, should it occur, make the GOP rethink things, what does the real taking of Congress by the GOP mean for the Dems?

Oh that's right. The elections were all stolen. /sarcasm off

What a bunch of loons.

#3 - Posted by: random m on June 1, 2005 02:52 PM

A moonbat can dream, can't he?

#4 - Posted by: Brandon on June 1, 2005 02:57 PM

"Fever dream" is right. This wishing and hoping for American failure is making me sick.

#5 - Posted by: Josh on June 1, 2005 03:05 PM

It does expose liberal thinking: wouldn't it be great if the economy were to collapse and people were to lose their homes? Jerks! (And they have boring t-shirts).

#6 - Posted by: Carolynp on June 1, 2005 03:22 PM

wow, i have to say that libs are the only people i've ever witnessed who actually wish misfortune and death to occur - just so they can be correct.

they hope for american casualties in iraq, they hope for car bombings, kidnappings and beheadings, and now they're hoping for economic collapse at home. all so they can say "i told you so" someday.

they seem to visualize a mythical future that, like all their other idealistic dreams, is ignorant of human nature and the complexities of the modern world, and thereby doomed to failure.

#7 - Posted by: mikey on June 1, 2005 03:51 PM

Woah. This serious article is funnier than most of the stuff at ScrappleFace. The DU inmates (TM & (C) LGF) are better at writing right-wing satire than some right-wingers.

>(And they have boring t-shirts).
FUGWB (I suppose "**** you G.W.Bush") vs. Nuke The Moon or Chomps (wearing it right now)? Not even in the same *sports*, let alone the same league.

Satire: (n) Irony, sarcasm, or caustic wit used to attack or expose folly, vice, or stupidity.

These stupid f**ks label their long, boring delusion as satire and they don't even know what it is.

Hey, we've all squeezed off the occasional stinker over at the homepage (except you, Cadet Happy, FrankJ, et al.), but Prof. Weener wouldn't know satire if SarahK put its cold, hard barrel to his head. He just drones on like... like... like a liberal.

All I can think of is the poor Russian people, living with this socialist crap for eighty years. Turn on the TV and on comes a rerun of 'All in the Socialist Family' or 'Friends--Of The State', and there's five freakin' hours of lectures and canned laughter.

Damn, liberals are boring.

#9 - Posted by: a4g on June 1, 2005 05:10 PM

Liberals. Ewwwww.

Pray for em. God knows they need it.

The piece is a revealing look at how democrats are nearly praying for a rise in unemployment and a depreciation of the dollar all to have their beloved socialists regain power. Interesting, I can't seem to recall one mainstream republican wishing for a downturn in the 90's economony and now I can't think of one mainstream democrat (Zel Miller excluded) who isn't hoping FOR a downturn in the economy.

How sad it is when a person must pray against one's own country just to get political power. Selfishness at best, treason at worse.

Did we Franklance DU? It won't come up for me.

What if it doesn't come back up? Where will we go then to find all our leftist moonbattery in one place?

Impeach the bastard and charge him with war crimes

#14 - Posted by: mott the hoople on June 1, 2005 07:57 PM

Mott - We *already* impeached Clinton, but the Senate wouldn't convict.

I second the war crimes angle, though. Bosnia, Somalia, letting Osama get away...

;-)

well they did say it was a satire...

#17 - Posted by: Hari seldon on June 1, 2005 09:17 PM

I must admit they did get one thing right. The MSM liberal bias comes out nicely in that article.

Reaching for my duct tape......I know it's here somewhere......Why didn't you warn me? I could have had it handy! Damn you! The surgeons are going to have a hard time if I don't find my duct tape.........

#19 - Posted by: Leuthen on June 1, 2005 10:06 PM

Why am I not surprised this was written by a 'Dr. Weiner'?

#20 - Posted by: Brian on June 2, 2005 12:40 AM

Are they for f***ing real?

It's bad enough having to deal with the spectre of a Hillary candidacy, and even presidency. Giving those power-mad morons control at mid-term would be a total disaster. They would make the USA act like their favorite country, France, does, and surrender to anyone who clears their throat.

#21 - Posted by: Kevin on June 2, 2005 09:58 AM

Only a die-hard liberal would wish Nancy Pelosi on as the first female President.

And I agree with former commenters, it IS telling how the liberals are wishing for bad things to happen to the US at home and abroad just so they can "be right". Bastards.

#22 - Posted by: songstress7 on June 4, 2005 12:04 PM

I cannot imagine either side of the left-right divide ever getting to 70-30, no matter what the circumstances. But the crazies will be crazy, I suppose...
