Comment on Podcast 3
Comment here on the new podcast (or e-mail comments and questions in for the new contest). We really need your feedback to keep tuning the podcast until we get it extra-super perfect. Don't forget to vote for IMAO if you love our podcast (which you will). If your interested in the blogger phone conference with Bob Geldof, you can find the audio of it here (which includes many and my stunning questions and suggestions near the end of the hour). 32 Responses To "Comment on Podcast 3"
Awesome music!!!! Way better than the Swedish Television One theme. #2 - Posted by: motopolitico on June 13, 2005 07:08 AMDefinitely an exponential increase in funniness. Shorter, sweeter. Bravo! I'll never look at a U-Haul dealer the same again. #3 - Posted by: motopolitico on June 13, 2005 07:31 AMThanks for the "Doink Doink". I...um...really like...um... the new podcast and ...um..think that...um...you guys did a....um...wonderful job...um...analyzing...um...FrankJ's call to...um.. limbaugh. I see that you forgot to mention the 18th anniversary of 'The Wall' speech by the greatest president of the 20th century. #6 - Posted by: El Jefe on June 13, 2005 09:18 AMGreat! Definitely more life in it. :) Thanks. The podcast got my week off to a good start. :) #7 - Posted by: Lionstone on June 13, 2005 09:21 AMMuch better! I feel so left out. My spleen hurts. So does my left kidney. It will make the premiere of Crappy Bedtime Stories in #4 all that much more enjoyable. #9 - Posted by: Laurence Simon on June 13, 2005 10:25 AMEl Jefe, "the Wall" was mentioned. Bob Geldof was in it. #10 - Posted by: spacemonkey on June 13, 2005 10:31 AMFrank your a real funny guy, and kinda smart too... I like right wing duck too (next time give him a Taco Bell coupon, half eaten burrito's really Frank), but you gotta do something about Harvey's attitude. May be you need to slap him around or something until he gets more with the program... Did I mention Sahra K sounds really cute... #11 - Posted by: The Fat Man on June 13, 2005 11:42 AMHarvey, you forgot to mention the Gunfight at the OK Corral, one of the greatest triumps of Republicans (the Earps) over Democrats (the Clantons and McLaureys). That's right, Wyatt Earp was a Republican, and just like today, the worst criminals (in this case, the Cowboy gang) were Democrats. #12 - Posted by: Alucard on June 13, 2005 01:25 PMIt was... okay... Boxing a monkey was funny, I love the states in review so far, and Frank Discourse remains the best part of the show. I still look forward to next week and I have already voted at Podcast Alley #13 - Posted by: DancingOx on June 13, 2005 02:08 PMMUCH better! Let's see how the "Discourse" sounds without the Rush call....if you can just keep it spontaneous and such, like this podcast, it could work well.... #14 - Posted by: TAZZ on June 13, 2005 05:40 PMUntil I started listening to these, I never quite made the connection between SarahK & Texas. Whenever I hear her voice, I'm reminded of this lil' critter. #15 - Posted by: Blog Jones on June 13, 2005 06:34 PMLOL Blog Jones! She does sound something like Sandy. #16 - Posted by: Laura on June 13, 2005 07:48 PMHarvey, you idiot. The nuclear tests were done in Utah! (It was part of the government pressuring the Mormons to allow gambling in Ogden. How else did Moab get its name? Think about it!) #17 - Posted by: Reese on June 13, 2005 08:20 PMI think SarahK sounds much more natural during the roundtable than during the "reviews are fun"....just my opinion.... #18 - Posted by: rachel on June 13, 2005 08:35 PMMuch much much tighter. You guys sounded great and still off the cuff, funny. SarahK's bit was much better as was "Frank Discourse" -- Good Job!! The bit between Space Monkey and RWD was also good. I enjoy Harvey's 50 States stuff too... and Harvey is a great "straight man" during the "Frank discourse" -- really good timing. I also liked the repeated "breaks" -- it made the whole podcast flow much better. (I guess we are all just *too* used to having commercials.............) Anyway, good job -- and thanks! #19 - Posted by: Richmond on June 13, 2005 09:54 PMrachel, I think that's intentional. SaraK obviously plays the dumb blonde in her reviews, and acts normal otherwise. #20 - Posted by: Alucard on June 13, 2005 10:39 PMAdam Smith - father of American capitalism Robert Smith - lead singer of The Cure #22 - Posted by: DuppyConqueror on June 13, 2005 11:51 PMHey, somebody got that joke. It was a South Park reference. #23 - Posted by: RightWingDuck on June 14, 2005 12:15 AMI saw that there was going to be a review of a sci-fi show and I new immediately that it would be Firefly. I somehow knew that you would be In July Dark Horse Comics is releasing a 3 part comic named "Serenity", based on the tv show "Firefly". Lovin' the podcasts Y'all. Especially when Frank chimes in on SarahKs reviews and she yells at him to stop talking about lesbians. Dang! now I'm going to get yelled at for talking about lesbians! Great job so far on the 50 state tour Harvey! Why no Aquaman though? Afraid he'll get the microphone wet and short it out? Oh yes and MORE HATE-FILLED LEFTY! #26 - Posted by: BigEZ on June 14, 2005 09:06 PMGreat podcast guys! I'd like to play your call in to Rush on my podcast tomorrow. I loved the fisking! "To be honest...". Awesome catch. It's a real cover your ass line, and you guys made a great joke about it. The best 20 minutes I've spent listening to podcasting in days... #27 - Posted by: Charlie Quidnunc on June 14, 2005 11:31 PMLove reading IMAO! Listened to the mp3 stream up to, "The first thing you need to know about boxing a chimp..." *yawn* bored. #28 - Posted by: right of right on June 15, 2005 01:59 AMCharlie, Thanks for mentioning IMAO in your podcast. We appreciate it and hope to link to your podcast soon! #29 - Posted by: The Real Scott on June 15, 2005 04:38 PMRemember to listen to the whole IMAO Podcast to hear how you can win a free t-shirt from us. I'm looking at more prizes in the future (and maybe some iPods) #30 - Posted by: The Real Scott on June 15, 2005 05:51 PMI missed hearing more American Monkey. SpaceMonkey sounds like Matthew McCougney but with better timing. I also missed hearing more of what sounded like an "In My World" bit. Who does the voices? They were spot on. Other than that, it was great. We need MORE MONKEY! - Space variety, not chimp beating. #31 - Posted by: HeatherF on June 16, 2005 04:09 AMI spent my birthday on the 15th listening to all the podcasts. I was impressed. I'm new to this site. From what I've seen so far, FrankJ and his gang, as well as the commenters, are all top notch. It is now a daily addiction to check this place out. Keep it up Frank. #32 - Posted by: ClayK on June 16, 2005 09:45 PMPost a comment
