Otherwise, perfect.

NCO that's just the way things go in the wild kingdom that is the democratic party. Only the most crazy survive.

GOP disregards vote discrepancy

More ballots than voters?
Republicans, who made much of that and other 2004 election discrepancies in their unsuccessful court bid to unseat Democratic Gov. Christine Gregoire, found themselves with the same problem at their King County convention in Bellevue yesterday.
In the 9th District, 436 voting delegates were seated — but tellers counted 444 ballots, including one abstention, in the contest between Steve Hammond and Reagan Dunn to become the party's official choice for the King County Council in the fall elections.
How did they reconcile the difference? They didn't.
Caucus Chairman Dick Derham said it didn't matter because Hammond's margin over Dunn was more than eight votes.

Very interesting, Human. While you're so enthralled with this, go pour yourself a nice tall glass of Stay On Topic™.

Dr. Phat, in that case we can expect an eventual winner-take-all cage match between Dean, Kucinich, and the assembled Congresspersons from California.

#7 - Posted by: Army NCO Guy on June 16, 2005 03:23 PM

Human, human, human... that only goes to show that Democrats infiltrated the convention and submitted some votes by dead people. Come on - get with the program!

#8 - Posted by: Plea Deal on June 16, 2005 03:23 PM

Don't forget about Nader. I heard he's got a mean left hook.

#9 - Posted by: Dr. Phat Tony on June 16, 2005 04:35 PM

Knew there was one more out there I was forgetting about.

#10 - Posted by: Army NCO Guy on June 16, 2005 05:09 PM

FYI: Fan can expect the Hate-Filled Lefty in the next podcast.

#11 - Posted by: The Real Scott on June 16, 2005 05:24 PM

Until now, I never saw HFL together with Howard Dean -I was sure they were the same person.

There goes that theory.

#12 - Posted by: Bob in Feenicks on June 16, 2005 05:32 PM

Plea deal - You obviously escaped from the conspiricy mines.

Real Scott and Bob - Hate filled - u 2 need 2 take a long look in the mirror.

Army NCO Guy - Well when the topic is about how elections are fixed (by either parties) and such instead of Hate filled pablum I'll stay on topic. In the mean time I'll keep on shoving the truth in front of you and everybody else.

Here's one just for u

Soccer mom and Nascar dad spending on the newest fad.
Chat on the cell while waiting in traffic in the SUV
Things are good, move along nothing to see
Pledge allegiance before the Game
Never mind the War It was yours, its neverending, the same
The boys get their dog tags
The unlucky come home in body bags
The quick kill he before he
Come home wounded, a little Hungry?
You get charged just a little fee
You thought you came home whole?
One night you let your mind remember a piece
You left it with your dead bud it that f*ing sh hole.

As 4 u or anyone else in uniform u r not fighting for me. Never have never will. My name is not Halliburton or any other of the Corporations you support. If your blind following of anything your Glorious Leader says, is indicative of NCO leadership today, it is no wonder another War will last years before it becomes evident that is a false endevour.

#13 - Posted by: Human on June 16, 2005 07:32 PM

Scott,
Just quote Human about verbatim and I think we have a HFL sketch for the next podcast.

#14 - Posted by: Frank J. on June 16, 2005 07:36 PM

Objectively this sucks. I'll even concede that Rush Limbaugh makes me chuckle sometimes.

#15 - Posted by: Oasis on June 16, 2005 10:29 PM

Hey Human. Thousands of NCOs have fought for you. Like it or not. Including me, my brother, and my daughter. All of us took an oath to "protect America from all enemies foreign or domestic..." If you're in America, that's you.

You are obviously suffering from the HFL-itis. Symptoms include spewing incoherent, ill-willed, irrlevant verse in forums.

Hope you get well soon.

#16 - Posted by: clews on June 16, 2005 10:59 PM

to clewless. nope not in my name pal. just because you and your kin joined a cult of death do not include me in it. as for enemies of america look no further than your Glorious Leader and his friends(both dem and repub) who repeatly stab your friends in the back. I protested this sick war b4 it started. And just like in nam when the boys and girls come home it will because of people like me. not u. every vet who came home has people like me to thank. Peace is not War no matter how many times u repeat your Masters Mantra. The only thing you and your buds are defending is the Corporate Powers. Not 1 Iraqi was a threat to me or mine till you and your glorious leader started killing them. No blood on my hands. not in my name.

btw-rush=hate filled. Hate and Fear daily served up for people like u.

#17 - Posted by: Human on June 16, 2005 11:21 PM

Maybe Frank J needs a new gun ... I don't know if those measly .45s are up to troll hunting, and it looks like one snuck in!

#18 - Posted by: Drew on June 16, 2005 11:25 PM

Human, WRONG AGAIN, Muckadoo. While you were busy protesting the Vietnam War, your fellow Americans being held as POWs were being shown pictures of your protests while they were being beaten and tortured, and told that even their fellow Americans thought they were War Criminals. Some died. THAT's THE BLOOD YOU HAVE ON YOUR HANDS.

It is agreed upon by many historians that the media attention to the handfuls of protesters encouraged North Vietnam to continue fighting. How many more people died on both sides because of the prolonged fighting? Feel better you self indulgent jerk?!

If you hate America so much and have for so long, why are you still here?

#19 - Posted by: clews on June 17, 2005 01:41 AM

AH HA HA HA HA

Clews, you are so far off target that I can't stop laughing. They showed PICTURES to SOLDIERS. My god, if we're raising our soldiers to go limp at the thought of some of their citizens opposing wars, then we have trained them WRONG WRONG WRONG. But no, apparently pictures equal blood on our hands. I'm so powerful that I should consider my graven image comparable to the blood and body of Jesus Christ.

Many historians my ass. What history are you reading, "The Vietnam War According to My Fucked Point of View"? Most historians agree that the North Vietnamese continued to fight because they were cloistered in small jungle communities that operated independently of each other, thereby increasing their effectiveness, not to mention the willingness of every able citizen to fight. You might like to know that the sexist troops assumed that only men would fight and many died for that idiocy, since women were just as willing to die for North Vietnam as men.

Oh, and what about the oppressive Christian government in South Vietnam set up by the US? Or the general elections that showed a majority of Southern Vietnamese were in favor of a communist reign? No, I suppose you read your history books, and I read the real ones.

#20 - Posted by: Oasis on June 17, 2005 02:28 AM

Human:

I recall Howard Dean, a lefty, saying something to the effect:

"I *HATE* Republicans"

A Lefty and Hate-filled; you could see where I'd get confused.

#21 - Posted by: Bob in Feenicks on June 17, 2005 12:36 PM

Drew it looks like 2 trolls dropped in. One for each 45. Has anyone noticed that when the loser left get riled all they can spew is cursing and insults. What comes out of the mouth is what is inside the heart.

Hey human and oasis, sure is easy spouting insults to people though posts. Makes me wonder how you would talk with a few of us gun totin' crazy war mongering conservative guys in your face. just wondering....

#22 - Posted by: Yonelly on June 17, 2005 12:37 PM

Yonelly--

Actually I'm a peace-mongering pro-gun socialist.

Also, I always thought it was ILLEGAL to threaten someone with a gun? Why do some people always forget that? Oh hurr my side likes guns, don't mess with us ha ha

Did you ignore all my arguments up there or did you just read where I cussed a little bit. :(

#23 - Posted by: Oasis on June 17, 2005 12:53 PM

Finally, it's good to see a freedom of expression that the left opposes.

Dear IMAO readers, remember that it is wrong to threaten somebody in print with a gun you may or may not have.

I have an axe (waves imaginary axe) don't make you use it!

#24 - Posted by: RightWingDuck on June 17, 2005 01:28 PM

RightWingDuck waves his axe.

Please roll a D20 against your dexterity...

OK, a 1....

RightWingDuck shoots himself in the foot.
With an axe.

#25 - Posted by: Parker on June 17, 2005 02:09 PM

Parker,

Hee hee.

It's funny because it's true.

#26 - Posted by: RightWingDuck on June 17, 2005 02:32 PM

Actually, RightWingDuck, my point was that it's always been baffling to me that a talking point of conservativism has been the fact that y'all got the guns and we poor bleeding hearts don't. It's always been vaguely implied that we shouldn't argue with conservatives (like Yonelly up there) because we could get shot by REAL MEN(TM).

Some leftists actually like guns and support guns. Remember--Canada has one gun for every four people.

#27 - Posted by: Oasis on June 17, 2005 03:35 PM
Army NCO Guy - Well when the topic is about how elections are fixed (by either parties) and such instead of Hate filled pablum I'll stay on topic. In the mean time I'll keep on shoving the truth in front of you and everybody else.

Well, that's a brilliant strategy. Just keep leaving the same comment on every post until the post happens to be about your topic of choice?

Frank, I think Human is waiting for you to post about rigged elections. Better hurry, he seems to be the impatient sort.

As 4 u or anyone else in uniform u r not fighting for me. Never have never will.

Oh, very well, then. Just make sure you leave all the rights we've provided you with at the door. Like that "freedom of religion" thing, well, you're gonna have to convert to Shinto, on pain of death. Sorry, but that's the luck of the draw. And your freedom to vote- from now on you only get one choice on the ballot. And as for your freedom of speech- better not leave any more comments! ...'cuz we wouldn't want you to be hampered by all those "rights", if nobody's allowed to fight for them.

#28 - Posted by: Army NCO Guy on June 17, 2005 05:04 PM

Oasis,
You could read Victor Davis Hanson for one historian's point of view. And, as is typical of Muckadoos, one has to detail the obvious. I never said, nor meant to imply, that our POWs caved because of pictures or other propaganda that the anti-America crowd provided our enemies. I said it encouraged the opposition. You know, sort of like giving aid and comfort to the enemy. But, suposed you were in a foreign country putting your life on the line for something you really believed in enough to die for it (I somehow doubt that's a possibility for you, but we're pretending). How do you suppose it would affect you if the ONLY news you saw was negative images and video of your countrymen to include video of a formal Naval Officer(Kerry) testifying to atrocities that you knew were not true, but were being accused of committing? And if that news encouraged your tormentors to continue their own fight, then the actions of the protestors contributed directly to the suffering and death of all peopls involved in Vietnam.

Oh, and besides women, you forgot to mention the brave tactic of children carrying grenades or other explosives to defeat the Americans or others. Those are such noble warfighting methods, I'm surprised you'd leave them out.

#29 - Posted by: clews on June 17, 2005 06:21 PM

RWD, thanks for the reminder. I believe I allowed my emotions to come into play here.

Oasis, I apologize if this came across as a threat. I don't even own a gun. (sorry Frank). But I do believe in the right to bear arms and all the bill of rights. Again, I apologize.

Oasis, please remember ( I didn't) that this is a humor blog. It is also FrankJ's blog.

Frank, Sorry for the bad post. I will try and be more Honorable from here on out. Thanks for my say.

#30 - Posted by: Yonelly on June 17, 2005 07:13 PM

Yonelly--hey, don't think anything of it. I didn't take it as a threat. I only thought it was funny because I've heard it before. By an extension of that logic, though, why argue with terrorists who have an atomic bomb, right? I know you meant it all in good fun though.

Clews--what in God's name is a Muckadoo and why would you mention it?

And I still fail to see the connection between the US's lack of support for the Vietnam war and how that helped the opposition.

Don't patronize me either. I have beliefs, strong ones, and I'd gladly die for some of them. Do not assume you know me, do not make comments like that (unless you really want to be on the receiving end), and do not be condescending.

If I were in a position where I was fighting for something and saw people were against me, it'd inspire me, even if they were my own people. I'm not a selfish person, nor do I have a weak ego, and I know that I can fight for a cause without it being popular. That's called conviction. Maybe the reason that so many Vietnam War soldiers gave up is because their cause wasn't just. Okay, what Jane Fonda said was stupid. But they may have realized that the South Vietnamese WANTED to be be reincorporated.

Hey, remember those villages full of people that we razed, then killed all the people in it? No? What about the 12-year-old Vietnamese girls who were raped? What about disfiguring Agent Orange? Or napalm? Both sides had disgusting tactics. Let's not forget what we did either.

#31 - Posted by: Oasis on June 18, 2005 09:27 PM

Oasis whined:

Canada has one gun for every four people.

What he leaves out is the fact that Canada only has about four people.

Thank you and good night.
