Fun Trivia
How divisive was the battle for the Antonin Scalia confirmation?
So divisive that two Senators didn't even vote, giving Scalia a 98-0 confirmation. Hopefully Roberts will be more of a uniter and not scare off Senators like the extremist Scalia.
I hope the two that didn't vote didn't get paid either. First.
Actually, the vote was 98-2-2. The two Senators from Manitoba voted against his confirmation, and Manitoba broke away from the United States to join Canada.
The fact that we let them go and didn't bother trying to get them back speaks volumes about how much we Americans hated the people of Manitoba.
Damn Manitobans! Damn dirty Manitobans!
