Keep in mind some looters might just be people who are stranded out there and have run out of food and other essentials. And if I was in that boat I assure you I'd be out there doing whatever it took to keep my family alive and healthy until we could reach help or vice versa.

Stealing food and water is one thing.

However, I am unaware of the nutritional value of DVDs, flat-screen TVs, big boxes full of sneakers, etc. Maybe they're taking these items in order to build a raft.

This whole situation is a GREAT boost for arguments in support of withdrawing any and all limits on private gun ownership. My SKS would make short work of any dirtbags who came through the window uninvited...
