Hmmm... Needs More Nazi...
(A Filthy Lie of sorts) Laura from Can't Keep Quiet took a look at logo for the Alliance of Free Blogs:
and decided that it looked a lot like a certain Nazi logo:
dropping broad hints along the way that of course a bunch of fascist right-wingers would choose a Nazi symbol to represent their organization. Being as she's liberal, she is - by definition - completely and inarguably correct in her analysis. In fact, it's time for Alliance to goose-step out of the closet and go with the logo that we'd REALLY like (see extended entry):

Have you ever looked at the ADL's page on neo-Nazi iconography? (My pitiful 'net connection won't bring it up at the moment...) I've always wondered how many "tribal" tattoos incorporate Nazi symbols. (True tattoo story: one time I caught a guy trying to translate some saying he had come up with into Japanese using Babelfish. I managed to convince him that machine translation isn't good enough to permanently affix to his body.) If Laura's such a student of history she should know that the bald eagle was adopted as the US national symbol in 1782. And she ought to know that virtually none of the Nazi symbols or icons were original.
