They Now Do Nothing Behind Closed Doors
Posted by Frank J. at 03:06 PM | View blog reactions | Comments (13)

The Democrats have called for a closed door session on Iraq, the first time such a thing has happened in 25 years. Apparently it's some sort of stunt or something and Frist is pissed as this came out of nowhere.

Well, I have to give it to those wacky Democrats, this is weird and unexpected as compared to their usual of predictable and annoying. So what do you think the plan is here and is Rove somehow behind it all?

UPDATE: The Dems are in a "full scale revolt." This is goofy.

UPDATE2: "It’s like chewing someone out, but p***ing your pants while you’re doing it."

I know there is a quote from Animal House that fits this...

UPDATE3: Duh. The timing obviously points to Michelle Malkin being behind this.

UPDATE4: That's the quote I was thinking of. I guess K-Lo and I are on the same wavelength. I think it's time to start officially calling this the "Animal House" strategy.

It's like when the (suposedly) cool kids get together in their secret meeting place to talk about private things. Their just sore 'cause this story means they can't whine about "Bush killing the economy" (think of Frank's hate filled lefty voice from the IMAudiO when reading that) anymore.

They're just having a group circle-jerk, but didn't want to put it so crassly.

"We'd love to tell you about all of the damning information we discovered during this session, but it was closed door, so we have to leave it to your imagination. And if anyone leaks something that says it wasn't scary and evil shenanigans, then we'll empower a special prosecutor like that Fitzgerald guy who found out all of that important stuff to go after them for leaking."

Not only is Frist pissed, but apparently Lott's hot over Reid's screed.

What's that? The Senators are all locked in a room, away from the cameras they love so much?

That's great news! How long can we keep them there? Someone should nail the doors shut before a few of the rascals escape.

It's like that Dilbert cartoon where all the bosses are in a meeting, and the janitor leaves a broom in the door handle so it can't be opened from the inside ... and everything is better with the Company ... parallel America!

Well, I think this has got IMW written all over it.

I've seen the ding-y democRATS do some silly things in my life and this is definitely one of them.

I can just hear them.....
We can't win elections, we can't win arguments, we can't stop judicial nominations...what do we do? Let's bring the nation to a standstill...that's bound to get us some airtime on CNN.

Wow. What a dumb move by the Democrats. I mean, everyone knows this would only work if the general American public was against the continuation of the war and had little support for the current administration.

Oh, wait. That's exactly the majority opinion.

Nevermind. :)

Wormer? He's a dead man!

#9 - Posted by: Dave in Texas on November 1, 2005 09:21 PM

I wonder how Karl Rove got them all in the same room at once? He's BRILLIANT! You KNOW he's behind this...

The republicans called a closed session 6 times to talk about Bill Clinton's sex life, if your going to type info get the truth

Man, Frank. I occassionally get over to the Dem/Lib sites, and your "full scale revolt" link is pretty tame compared to the nuts over at Kos, but are they all insane? How is it possible for so many to be completely out of touch with reality? They're still hanging on to hopes for more indictments. They're still claiming that policy differences amount to lies. I mean--someone over there actually is calling himself "Gore/Obama '08". They're nuts. Each and every one of them.
