Friday Catblogging
Posted by Laurence Simon at 09:30 AM | View blog reactions | Comments (5)

Since it's Friday, I thought I'd spread the joy of humor-free, apolitical Friday Catblogging to IMAO (aka "I-MEOW").

Today, it's Piper the Rat checking out a Thanksgiving feast.

If you're not sure how this absurd scene pertains to IMAO, since IMAO is famous for that "political humor" thing, it doesn't. If you must have some semblance of politics or humor in everything you read here, just assume that Piper is... um...

Help me out here. Make your suggestions in the comments how this scene is, in fact, a political allegory.

(For more animal goodness, try Friday Ark today and Carnival of the Cats will be at IMAO this upcoming Sunday, so send your catblogging links to submissions @ carnivalofthecats.com.)

Well, its obvious...

The cat represents of Al Queda and Islamofascism. The food represents Iraq, lying there in danger of being devoured. The napkin represents the white flag which Democrats have displayed (note, might also represent towel thrown in).

The empty chairs of relatives represent the US military which was forced to leave the table before the meal (read mission) was complete, allow this imminent seen of carnage to occur. The crazy old fart uncle who the other guests have had to get up and restrain because he was having "on of those episodes" represents the Ted Kennedy in particular or the left in general.

Oh, and not pictured here is crazy old Aunt Cindy, who is parked out on the lawn protesting the senseless slaughter of game birds for a holiday not worth celebrating.

The traditional Thanksgiving meal is all things American, peace, prosperity, security. It's your meal, you bought/grew/killed the food, you filled the plate, cooked, yadda, yadda.
The cat is all things liberal. The cat contributes nothing to the meal, except to scratch at your ankles and waited until you completed all the work to fill the plate and enjoy the fruits of your labor and now demands that you give it up to him. Be fair, I'm starving,...blah,blah.
We then mix sports and politics. The cat learns that the big game begins with the "kickoff!"

1. Piper is preparing to execute an exit strategy on that turkey dinner.

2. Piper is objecting to plate placement. Everyone knows the turkey belongs on the left.

3. Piper to Maureen Dowd: want a little dinner to go with that w(h)ine?

Well, the cat is ovbiously Hillary Clinton and all her socialist friends, eager to steal your hard-earned bounty.
