Friday Catblogging
Posted by Laurence Simon at 09:10 AM | View blog reactions | Comments (18)

Since it's Friday, I thought I'd spread the joy of humor-free, apolitical Friday Catblogging to IMAO (aka "I-MEOW").

Today, it's Frisky the King Of Fluffiness...

If you're not sure how this absurd scene pertains to IMAO, since IMAO is famous for that "political humor" thing, it doesn't. If you must have some semblance of politics or humor in everything you read here, just assume that Frisky is... um...

Wait. Now Piper's shown up. Hold on...

And now Nardo's getting into the act.

Well, isn't that just great. Help me out here. Make your suggestions in the comments how this scene is, in fact, a political allegory.

(For more animal goodness, try Friday Ark today and Carnival of the Cats will be this upcoming Sunday, so send your catblogging links to submissions @ carnivalofthecats.com.)

Hmmmm.... Gotta go with the obvious. Christmas at the Kennedy Compound?

So, do vacuum cleaner bags at the Simon residence last, like, a week or so?

It's obviously an allegory, with the Miller Lite representing Tom DeLay, and Frisky, Piper, and Nardo representing the Travis County District Attorney's office.

I kinda see these guys wondering over the comparison to catnip in regards to the coming New Years celebration.

Miller Lite! It's not just for mice anymore!!

#4 - Posted by: Silicon Valley Jim on December 30, 2005 11:02 AM

Silicon Valley,
Maybe it's Mouse-Flavored Miller Lite!

With most cheap beers, who can really tell?

#5 - Posted by: Kent on December 30, 2005 11:15 AM

We came all this way, and all you have for us is lite beer?

#6 - Posted by: BigEZ on December 30, 2005 01:27 PM

Miller Lite = Cat Piss

Frisky, Piper, and Nardo admiring a good days work.

"Great taste!"

"Less filling!"

[first draft of Miller Lite's now infamous "cat fight" commercial]

#8 - Posted by: Harvey on December 30, 2005 02:52 PM

"oh my god... its full of stars"

Nardo's a big boy, isn't he. Where's the catnip in this picture?

#10 - Posted by: Todd on December 30, 2005 04:06 PM

Nardo is twice Piper's size.

Edloe was three times Piper's size. But you rarely saw the two near each other, since Edloe absolutely HATED Piper.

Just shows what free beer will attract - thirsty kittys that have just polished off the Christmas mice that were stirring...

#12 - Posted by: Tom on December 30, 2005 09:44 PM

I think Marc nailed it - Miller Lite is cat piss. Put out a bottle of good scotch and see what happens!

#13 - Posted by: Drunk guy on December 30, 2005 10:40 PM

Yeh, I make the same mistake & buy Miller Lite. No one drinks it. When will I ever learn? It's BUD Light you're supposed to buy. Even the cats know that.

I actually have to keep my beer away from one of my cats "Lucie" likes to lick the rim of my beer bottles when I set them down after taking a drink.

I can pour it in a glass and the same thing will happen, she will lick the rim of the glass after I have taken a drink and there is beer flavor on the edge of the glass, but not actually stick her head in the glass and start drinking my beer.

However my grand-puppy Loki does have a beer habit, and will chug any beers poured into a glass that has been left unattended.

I waste more drinks having to pour them out after my bratty critters violate my beers.

I take it they're all males.

Alcohol gets everyone who can't stand each other to sit together quietly for years without murdering each other.

Matt Groening said the same for the TV.

Christmas as the Kennedy Compound? Try 5 AM at the Kennedy compound.
