Happy 170th, Texas!
I'd say something about today being the 170th anniversary of Texas gaining independence from Mexico and becoming its own nation, but Harvey's got the "Fun Facts" franchise here at IMAO and he's wicked-fast with a blade. So instead, I'll list my favorite flavors of ice cream: 10. Rocky Road 15 Responses To "Happy 170th, Texas!"
FIRST!!! (i think...) Mint Chocolate Chip is my favorite too, but it's no fun if it isn't green. #1 - Posted by: LOST!!! on March 2, 2006 10:20 AMyah, its gotta be green #2 - Posted by: David on March 2, 2006 10:26 AMFirst!! Also, Attended a very cool deal in Austin Last March where GHWB was inducted in the "Texas Hall of Fame along with Lady Bird Johnson" it was pretty cool. Downtown at the Bullock Museum. Man I miss Texas #3 - Posted by: Bill on March 2, 2006 10:26 AMI guess my quick draw skills have diminished too!!! not first after all. #4 - Posted by: Bill on March 2, 2006 10:27 AMDon't sweat it, Bill. Us Texans are first in everything else! #5 - Posted by: Bombtruck on March 2, 2006 11:17 AMI agree. White with the big chips is better. Mmmm, Mint Chocolate Chip. Unlike the rest of you who are obviously racist, I don't care what color my ice cream is as long as it's tasty. RACIST!!!!! #7 - Posted by: SilverBubble on March 2, 2006 02:32 PMwell, the O-fficial ice cream of Texas is actually mint chocolate COW chip...not white, not green, but brown. Happy Independance day to us! #8 - Posted by: aA on March 2, 2006 03:42 PMIf it wasn't for Chuck Norris, you could mess with Texas whenever you wanted to. #9 - Posted by: tongueincheek on March 2, 2006 04:28 PMYou listed non-Blue Bell ice cream? What's wrong with you? ;-) I miss Texas too. Still planning on how to return. In 1986 (when I was 10) I tried to get my parents to get Sesquintienal (150th - I know it spelled wrong - I'm an Engineer - we round to the nearest letter) plates even though we were living in Florida. I was very happy when three years ago Blue Bell finally made it to Tampa. btw - my favorite flavors are Strawberries and Vanilla, Peaches and Vanilla, and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. #10 - Posted by: Andrew C on March 2, 2006 05:55 PMYou do know the secret ingredient in Ben and Jerry's ice cream is dioxin, don't you? #11 - Posted by: Bob in Feenicks on March 2, 2006 06:41 PM>...white with chips is the right way. Somewhere in New Orleans, Ray Nagin's head is about to burst. #12 - Posted by: AlanABQ on March 3, 2006 04:54 AMRocky Road is my all-time favorite. But I really like Chubby Hubby (even though damn hippies make it). And you can never go wrong with just plain chocolate. BTW Lawrence, I'm glad I found out what an ice-house was before yesterday! #13 - Posted by: Undercover Hippie on March 3, 2006 11:21 AMFor the Republic for with it stands...that would be TEXAS folks!!!!! What happened to banana-flavour??? First they took away my banana milkshake, now they're taking my banana-flavoured ice-cream? Man! #15 - Posted by: yay, ice creeeam! on March 6, 2006 07:44 AMPost a comment
