he had it half right anyway . . .

. . . he forgot the limousine part

Master-of-the-obvious2.jpg

I have to kind of admire him for the consistency of his [wrong] position, but to drag out the popular lie that invading Iraq was intended essentially to capture Osama Bin Laden is just lame. Furthermore, the idea that Iraq and al Qaeda have nothing to do with one another in the general war on terror is just stupid beyond measure. But hey, you think you're going to ride that pony to a big win in the November elections, be my guest. It will be 2004 all over again.

by the way, that is one of my favorite forum pictures -- i certainly did not create it (other than putting clooney's head on it)

Yay! He admitted to being an idiot.
Now the healing can begin.

Note to George: Put down the crack pipe and step away from the microphone

"I am a liberal. Fire away."

The thing is, when you do start firing at them, they start whining about it.

I like this version better: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/greg-gutfeld/george-clooney-i-am-a-ce_b_17231.html

George Cloony...living proof that McCarthy was right all along.

#5 - Posted by: Wolfman Dan on March 13, 2006 06:29 PM

...and here was I thinkin "Batman and Robin" was the height of George Clooney's jackassery.

More and more I meet people, and am truly saddened by the reality that they can vote.

Anyways, lets dismantle this thing:
1. "turning away from saying blacks should be allowed to sit in the front of the bus" - Firstly, I find the back of the bus to be preferable anyway. Second, let us not lose sight of the fact that the Civil Rights Act of 1964 COULD NOT have passed without support from the majority of Republicans. Besides, of all the civil rights issues...why the bus, George? Is that really the most important?
2. "that women should be able to vote" - Liberals never supported that, unless they were women. President Wilson only supported it for his own political gain/survival. He only convinced Congress to pass it by calling it a "critical war-measure".
3. "and get paid the same as a man." Not as long as they insist on men buying everything for them. A comedian once broke it down, without exaggerating numbers I've found, and came to the conclusion that men are something like $20 in the hole every paycheck compared to women. Also, if a woman decides to have a child, the company faces all sorts of financial consequences (though I've always found that to be a weak argument).
4."that McCarthy was wrong" - wrong about what? He said Hollywood types were liberals...that's your friggin headline. Plus you're an idiot.
5. "that Vietnam was a mistake" - Let me think about this one for a moment...Wait, I seem to recall one John Fitzgerald Kennedy being the first to send Americans to Vietnam, and I know I recall your beloved Lyndon B. Johnson, who passed the Civil Rights Act and is therefore infallible, escalating the conflict to full-scale war. What's that other thing I remember about Vietnam? Oh yes, the first Republican to come into office since the thing began was the one to end it. - I'm honestly sick of these people who talk about Nixon and Vietnam, and how that's why they're democrats - to that I say "WTF?!!!" Just because he's been villainized for decades doesn't mean you can blame him for everything that ever went wrong.
6. "And that Saddam Hussein had no ties to al-Qaeda and had nothing to do with 9/11." - Which is why Osama made a bid to purchase the world's largest pearl as a gift to his "friend" Saddam. Which is why they both spoke approvingly of each other in speeches over the years. Which is why Iraqi military advisors were known to have associated with Al-Quaeda members. Which is why Iraq was on good terms with the Taliban in Afghanistan....I can go on if you'd like.

WHAT TRISTAN SAID! HAH! Plus liberal men (oxymoron?) wear lace on their panties!

Reading through the comments made me nauseous. It makes me very sad to know that people actually swallow his screed because he can act.

F***, I can act... anyone tht has ever dated and tried to break up nicely can act. And these folks are following lockstep with him.

And what the hell with all the fascist remarks. Are they that deluded as to think that the revenue generated by businesses that are taxed and then used to fund their public colleges where they learn to hate their nation is a form of fascism? Do they own either dictionaries or history books?

The cure for Liberalism? .50 Caliber rifle bullet.

//The cure for Liberalism?//

Well, George Clooney made his first step by admitting he has a problem...now, on to the next 11 steps!!

Could someone educate me on why Looney-Clooney thinks he is the expert in both foreign policy and international relations. This is a man who has not had ONE movie in which he was better than awful. Maybe he feels that being a substandard actor entitles him to pretend he knows something.

Wait I know he is such a bad actor that he can't tell when he's acting and when he's not. After all the roles he's tortured, he feels that it is acceptable to torture the rest of us. Especially since he can't seem to find a reality he's comfortable in.

What we really need to do is not pay any attention to him at all. This works wonderful on two year olds, the more they misbehave, the less attention you give them. It drives them crazy, and it would give the rest of us a well earn vacation from Idiots-R-Us.
