Quick question
Would it be considered inappropriate to ask for a moment of silence for Miss Deaf Texas? 16 Responses To "Quick question"
Not at all, it is a shame to see a promising person's life cut so short. First BTW. #1 - Posted by: Stalwart on March 14, 2006 12:45 PMwhile the sentiment is certainly valid, i think stalwart missed the "irony point" of the post. the above 5 paragraph returns equals a moment of silence. eh? better than a moment of silence for Mos Def in Texas...on the odd occasion that he might visit. #3 - Posted by: shimauma on March 14, 2006 12:59 PMDo they fail to teach deaf students about not walking on train tracks? Maybe we should have a moment of loudness? #4 - Posted by: jonag on March 14, 2006 01:14 PMYes, highly inappropriate, although I can't help laughing. #5 - Posted by: Andrew on March 14, 2006 02:01 PMAlso, this is not "ironic" by definition. #6 - Posted by: Andrew on March 14, 2006 02:05 PMLair is going to Hell for this! ... But since that's a construct that we Christians believe in, I think he skates on the technicality of baing a Joooo. J/k! That was funny as can be and I'm going to hell fo laughing at it. I'll finally meet Laurence. Heh. #7 - Posted by: DesertElephant on March 14, 2006 04:53 PMAt least we know she wasn't faking. #8 - Posted by: Wolfman Dan on March 14, 2006 04:59 PMFrank I have noticed a distinct pattern developing here, and I for one will attempt to call you down on it......ready?......Texas senators, Texas deaf Gal.....you're picking on the Lone Star State here....what ever happened to newyork, mass.,conn and the like? JK WK #10 - Posted by: White Knight on March 14, 2006 06:14 PMI don't hear that train a comin' ...comin' 'round the bend And I aint seen sunshine since SPLATTTTTT!!!! #11 - Posted by: DohXs on March 14, 2006 07:49 PMI heard the tale end of this report on the local Austin news radio station on my way home today. I missed the part where she was deaf. Then I saw this post and burst out in an uncontrollable chuckle, and caught myself. I'm a bad, bad person. It just seemed so funny. But its tragic. Did anyone else see the article about the fight over Tater Tots that turned to gunplay? I laughed at that too. I couldn't help but think of Napoleon Dynamite: "Dude, give me some of your tots!" I'm a bad, bad person. In a related (stretch) story, it seems Helen Keller must have helped choose Washington State's new tourism slogan, "sayWA". #13 - Posted by: Pickaxe Pete on March 15, 2006 01:35 AMwalking NEAR railroad tracks? That was some dandy cowcatcher on that engine! I'm sorry, but could you guys speak up? #15 - Posted by: AlanABQ on March 18, 2006 04:49 AMPost a comment
