Chained by Numbers No More!
Posted by Frank J. at 07:07 PM | View blog reactions | Comments (42)

Ends up the security code for commenting wasn't doing anything, so it's gone! Comment away with no need for numbers!

Can I get a "Huzzah!"?

Hey,
I just posted a comment on an earlier post and had to put in a number. I feel robbed!
It was one of my worst comments, though, so I deserved to be punished. It wasn't witty or terribly concise. I'm going to go self-flagellate now.

So you're saying that the numbers didn't do any good at blocking spam? Just curious.

#5 - Posted by: Brian the sailor on April 21, 2006 07:31 PM

Oh, and I just bought 3 t-shirts. I should be a preferred customer by now.

#6 - Posted by: Brian the sailor on April 21, 2006 07:34 PM

#12 - Posted by: Lonevoice on April 21, 2006 09:07 PM

Bah, filthy numberphobes! I'm calling the ACLU to protect my constitutional right to type in numbers when commenting on blogs.

I may have to tell them that I'm a Muslim whose rights to construct a nuclear device and detonate it in the US have been infringed to get them to take the case, but I'm calling them!

Is that why the comment box doesn't pop up separately anymore? I miss it.

#19 - Posted by: shimauma on April 21, 2006 11:50 PM

The separate comment box annoyed the daylights out of me, i killed it on my own blog after about a week.

#20 - Posted by: spacemonkey on April 22, 2006 12:19 AM

Murderer!

I knew cosmic rays had a bad effect on primates.

#21 - Posted by: Master Shake on April 22, 2006 12:28 AM

Now can we get the spam out of the podcasts forums?

#22 - Posted by: slapout on April 22, 2006 12:32 AM

This site rocks man. I just found it and ran off to get some t-shirts. Safe to say I bookmarked this gem.

Keep it coming.

"Now can we get the spam out of the podcasts forums?
Posted by: slapout on April 22, 2006 12:32 AM"

Why? There's no podcast to disscus, so what's the point? I want more podcast ans more Frank on Guns.

And SarahK is right. I had to enter the number and recieve the solicitation to seek out and kill spammers.

#30 - Posted by: mdl8767 on April 22, 2006 03:47 PM

huzzaz all around!

#33 - Posted by: fdg on April 22, 2006 04:17 PM

Just wanted to comment on how funny the t-shirts are at the top of the site. The Hillary t-shirt is great. If she, for some inexplicable reason, become President, they'll be many more t-shirts where that one came from.

#34 - Posted by: PoliticalCritic on April 22, 2006 05:22 PM
