Michelle Malkin Is the Sweetest Pundit Ever
Posted by Frank J. at 08:51 AM | View blog reactions | Comments (16)

Michelle Malkin has a thanks for all her supporters. I just hope incidents like this won't occur again in the future, but I'm not holding my breath.

And that why we'll still be there.

While I support Michelle Malkin's right to be both a minority and a woman, I would be hard pressed to call her the sweetest pundit ever. She often doesn't take time to take a reasoned look at an issue, and can come up with some rather inflammatory commentary. Though, contrasting her often harsh approach to her sweet words for Frank may explain why Sarahk is awfully touchy about Michelle. You are behaving, yourself, aren't you frank?

In any case, Malkin's no Coulter, and I can appreciate that. The right needs Coulter like it needs a stick in the eye. In any case, I still read malkin daily, since, when it comes to the blogosphere, she often seems like a voice of reason.

those lefties are incredibly rude... Still, it is funny to see that you guys also have problems with your young ones...

Uhhhh, yeah. So I guess the left needs John Kerry, Drunken Ted, Molly Ivins, Helen Thomas, David Gregory, Dan Blather, Howard Dean, the UN, etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc like.............what?

Like a well-deserved punishment for their stupidity and evil?

#5 - Posted by: Master Shake on April 24, 2006 12:13 PM

Of course we need Coulter. It's vitally important to constantly mock your adversaries.

//It's vitally important to constantly mock your adversaries.//

Hear hear!! I know we're *supposed* to be the grown ups, and it's great that we have people like Michelle to make our point sound eloquent, but, I don't know if you noticed, the left doesn't GET things like eloquence or common sense, so we need folks like Ann to speak to them in a way they can understand.

An observation, if you will: people of every political persuasion, belief system, etc, having identified with that system as their fundamental perspective on issues are convinced of the correctness of their opinions, and so when someone attacks first them and second their views with offensive words, it does nothing to convince them, but instead makes them reject your views even more.

I'm sure you've heard that you can attract more bees with honey than with vinegar. Being convinced you're in the right, but being the only one in the "right" because you turned everyone away by your smugness or offensive behavior doesn't serve any purpose.

What really amuses me (or should I say saddens) is that, left or right, people quickly fade away from discussing the issues and underlying philosophies and devolve into arguments about the relative rationality, civility, and quality of each side.

The recent remarks on Malkin's website are a prime example of the left's vitriol, and perhaps the left currently has a bigger problem with this than the right (our friend BigOrange was able to quickly list many lefties with such issues), but then again, wrt to the same incident in which the left abused Malkin, many on the right also abused the SAW protesters, crossing the line of rational behavior with threatening speech.

Such behavior makes for great funny, which is why I visit IMAO, but sometimes I think commenters miss the funny and think that stereotyping and offensive or inconsiderate speech is actually a useful technique for serious discussion of issues.

Meh. I posted with two different handles. stupid computers. shouldn't be too hard to figure out which is me.

#9 - Posted by: Kylos on April 24, 2006 02:01 PM

Dear Mr. Harr,

It doesn't matter what a person's political "persuasion" is. If someone is on the wrong side of an issue, they are on the wrong side of the issue. If a person is so self absorbed that criticism, even harsh, mean spirited criticism, only strengthens their resolve to stick to the wrong side of an issue, then no amount of "honey" would make a difference anyway. If you are a bad guy, nice people don't change your mind. Right and wrong is not opinion -- is that statement right, or wrong?

//I'm sure you've heard that you can attract more bees with honey than with vinegar.//

But if I'm trying to find a snake, I use a stick, not honey.

It's ok if we are narrow-minded because we are right.

I've found that you don't attract ignorant liberals with either vinegar or honey. They prefer fat sluts in blue dresses.

"I'm sure you've heard that you can attract more bees with honey than with vinegar."

I have a theory. How about we drop you off in the woods, cover your ass in honey and blow a bear whistle.

Writers like Malkin and Coulter call it is, as opposed to just making it up as those on the left like to do. They make solid arguments, entertain, and still use logic.

I have to admit, I got all giddy when I found out about Ann's new book.

ROTFL! First comment in a long time made me blow soda out the nose!
Good thing it wasn't a peanut butter sandwich.

Ann Coulter and logic in the same sentence. Now THAT'S funny. Ha ha.
