Where Did IMAO Go? Ask Saudi Arabia
DoS attack on Hosting Matters took IMAO down and a number of other poltical blogs. Michelle Malkin has the details (she always has the details first; hmm...). What's the point of these attacks? We're down a couple hours, and then we're just angrier. Anyway, make sure to tell everyone you know to visit IMAO and buy lots of merchandise; it's the only way to show the terrorists you won't be intimidated. So does this count as the first attack against the 101st Fighting Keyboardists? 22 Responses To "Where Did IMAO Go? Ask Saudi Arabia"
They can't handle not being FIRST!!!!! #1 - Posted by: BigOrangeAxe on April 28, 2006 12:58 PMUh huh. Angier. Why do I get the feeling I'm going to get offered as a scapegoat? "Maybe if we get rid of the JOOOOOOOOOO they won't take us down again?" #2 - Posted by: Laurence Simon on April 28, 2006 12:59 PMI thought perhaps spacemonkey had posted the Carnival of Comedy and it was too much of teh funny for the server to take. /couldn't resist, sorry spacemonkey I guess they didn't know about IMAO's secret weapon. Send out Chomps! Sic 'em, boy! #4 - Posted by: SeanS on April 28, 2006 01:14 PMI think this does count, Frank. Time to bust out the big guns. #5 - Posted by: Mac on April 28, 2006 01:50 PMactually for a period every hosting matters site was down according the emergency board. I still haven't figured out why that site is always up even when everything else is down. Supposedly it wasn't actually hosting matters that was down, but the pipeline to and from, and so they had to simply wait for it to be fixed with the rest of us. #6 - Posted by: tommy on April 28, 2006 02:04 PMDid you stop and consider that perhaps this was the work of someone other than the lefties and terrorists? If you ask me, this looks like the handiwork of ManBearPig! Yep, ManBearPig. #7 - Posted by: Chris on April 28, 2006 02:40 PMIt was doubtlessly the pussychickens or their "freedom fighter" friends. Where are the l33t haxx0rs with mad skillz on our side? Time for a little "Operation Enduring Freedom II - Revenge of the Blogosphere"! #8 - Posted by: Master Shake on April 28, 2006 02:49 PMWelcome back. Looks like everybody's gradually coming back online, but Lileks and Vodkapundit are still down. Is everybody on my blogroll really on Hosting Matters? #9 - Posted by: chaika on April 28, 2006 02:55 PMMaster Shake, I'm thinking the same thing. Time to deploy the Fighting Chickenhawks. #10 - Posted by: FIAR on April 28, 2006 03:14 PMHey Frank... no thanks for me??? http://littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/?entry=20299 has details. #11 - Posted by: Aaron's cc: on April 28, 2006 03:19 PMWhat do you expect when you hurt the feelings of sensitive jihadis? I think that if you have the right to say what you want to say, they should have the right to kill innocent civilians, hack off the heads of Wall Street Journal reporters, and shut down the blogs they don't like. I mean, it only seems fair. Speaking of blogs the jihadis don't like, I'm surprised they didn't go after blogs like DailyKos or DU seeing as how much... they... disagree... (thoughtful pause) Oh, I get it now. #12 - Posted by: matthias on April 28, 2006 03:26 PMPerhaps Hosting Matters needs to use the "human shield" system of arranging sites on servers so that when the jihadis target conservative blogs with DDOSes, they end up taking down Islamic charity sites, jihadi discussion forums, and lefty CCindy Sheehan-style sites get taken down with them? #13 - Posted by: Laurence Simon on April 28, 2006 03:30 PMAwaiting marching orders, Commander J! How do we retaliate? I like Master Shake's idea. Operation Hackback! Unfortunately I'm not a l33t haxx0r with mad skillz. As far as precisely who do we retaliate against goes, I think you spelled that out pretty well in Nuke The Moon. We just attack someone at random. #14 - Posted by: fmragtops on April 28, 2006 03:43 PMNot totally at random, I hope. I mean, I don't think that I would like to be nuked. Well, maybe if I got some nifty super powers out of it, or something. #15 - Posted by: Master Shake on April 28, 2006 05:35 PMMaster Shake, the chances of Frank J picking your name out of the hat is pretty small. Relax. #16 - Posted by: fmragtops on April 28, 2006 06:21 PMAnd the name i have selected is... *reaches into hat* Master Shake! You're getting Nuked So glad you're back. After all a day without IMAO is like a day without sunshine. Seriously if I were a l33t haxx0r with mad skillz or a mutant with super powers I would avenge y'all. As it is all I can do is say Welcome Home, and boycott all jhadists everywhere. #18 - Posted by: seanmahair on April 28, 2006 06:56 PMBoycott jihadists? Can we bitchslap jihadists? #19 - Posted by: fmragtops on April 28, 2006 07:25 PMWow, down again for a while. Curse you, ManBearPig! #20 - Posted by: Chris on April 28, 2006 09:43 PMChris said If you ask me, this looks like the handiwork of ManBearPig! Yes. It. has. to. be. ManBearPig. I'm serial. Excelsior! #22 - Posted by: wave_man on April 29, 2006 11:28 AMPost a comment
