Guys I live and work in Germany (know to our troops stationed here as Hermany) and let me tell ya the World Cup is big. I mean huge. Scoccer sucks and is too boaring for me but the people here in Germany have come together and put on not just one but many HUGE parties for fans from every country to come and have a great time.

Right before USA lost the last time I was down in Frankfurt and we took over that city like we did shortly after WWII. Was great!! Americans all over the place and most Herms to scared to approch us. Myself I didn't drink but when I talked to a soldier he/she got a brew from me.

It´s called football even by your all-time masters the British.
To call football to a game played mostly with the hands and withan oval thing that is not a ball shows how far apart from reality and the rest of the world Americans are.

Soccer is a game played by children and lesbians. I like children and I like lesbians, but I hate soccer. The rest of the world is enthralled by a game, notice I didn't refer to it as a sport, which has something like 40% of the games ending in a 0-0 tie, and this is supposed to be exciting? The rest of the world is too weak to handle American sports which is why they play soccer, a game for children and lesbians.

I hate soccer as much as the next guy (don't think all Europeans are enthralled by it, when it's the ONLY SPORT the media talks about it jumps the shark real fast), but AFAIK, the score's not the point.

...at least it's not like professional wrestling, which is a soap opera with people beating each other up in a way that's so fake, William Shatner looked more convincing in the original series of Star Trek...

Football is a game for men. Rugby is also. AS you should very well know that REAL men do not play with round balls. Have you ever seen a scoccer player go through a whole game and not fall down? Then while he is down cry like a little baby hoping that his opponent gets some collered card? I see it every time I watch a game. Thankfully it is not often. Did you see the American team doing this? I didn't and I watched all their games. Funny how the Euro weenies can't take falling down but an American gets up and later will knoct the snot out of the guy who tripped im. Thats the American way.
