Proof Castro Is Alive!
IMAO EXCLUSIVE! MUST CREDIT IMAO! It has been announced the Fidel Castro is recovering, and Cuba has released some recent photos of Castro to show that he is alive. Some doubt their authenticity and even suggest the photos were manipulated with photo editing software. To counter this, intrepid IMAO fauxto journalist Cadet Happy present these exclusive images that prove once and for all the Fidel Castro is alive.
Fidel Castro at mass today with an unidentified priest carrying today's edition of the South Bend Tribune.(IMAO Fauxto/Cadet Happy)
Fidel Castro at a rally today with an unidentified supporter. He's talking on his new Blackberry 8600g and carrying today's edition of the L.A. Times.(IMAO Fauxto/Cadet Happy)
Fidel Castro with an unidentified foreign official. He's listening to Christina Aguilera's hit single "Ain't No Other Man" on his iPod.(IMAO Fauxto/Cadet Happy)
Fidel Castro at a parade. It's clear from his watch that it is today.(IMAO Fauxto/Cadet Happy)
Fidel Castro comforts a Lebanese woman who lost her home(s) to Israeli bombing. She's clearly holding up today's Miami Herald and Fargo Forum.(IMAO Fauxto/Cadet Happy)
Fidel Castro relaxing as he reads today's edition of Granma, the Communist Party newspaper.(IMAO Fauxto/Cadet Happy) 22 Responses To "Proof Castro Is Alive!"
I saw Fidel at the Havana MovieCo Cineplex watching Snakes on a Plane! He ate popcorn and Jujubes. #1 - Posted by: captamerica on August 13, 2006 03:34 PMBah! Yes, yes... it was Half-Off for Dictators Day. All of us went. Fidel looked simply wonderful! Yet, the Jujubes incident nearly started a border war... he swore to get all of us Jots when he went to the concession stand. #2 - Posted by: Infidel Castrol on August 13, 2006 03:49 PMThat botom photo with the inifnite regression is absolutely perfect. Someone should hack AP and replace their fauxto with ours to see if anyone notices. #3 - Posted by: Rick on August 13, 2006 03:55 PMThe third picture is an obvious Photoshop! That's not Christina Aguilera on the iPod - I can't tell which song it is, but the cover art is quite obviously that of "Demon Days" by Gorillaz. I will never trust another photo attributed to Cadet Happy again! (Well, I can't say I ever trusted them, but saying that kind of detracts from my righteous indignation....) #4 - Posted by: Master Shake on August 13, 2006 05:30 PMBut why does Adidas support communist dictators? Goe, wants to know! #5 - Posted by: goemagog on August 13, 2006 05:49 PMHow did you do the last picture? #6 - Posted by: Jeremy on August 13, 2006 06:15 PMOf course Castro's alive. I'll bet if someone shook his family tree "Dorian Grey" would fall out. Just image what the real picture of Castro would look like. Nevermind, I really want to be able to sleep tonight. #7 - Posted by: seanmahair on August 13, 2006 10:47 PMlong #8 - Posted by: puppet master on August 14, 2006 05:21 AMoff #9 - Posted by: puppet master on August 14, 2006 05:22 AMtopic #10 - Posted by: puppet master on August 14, 2006 05:23 AMrants #11 - Posted by: puppet master on August 14, 2006 05:23 AMby #12 - Posted by: puppet master on August 14, 2006 05:25 AMsome #13 - Posted by: puppet master on August 14, 2006 05:26 AMhuge #14 - Posted by: puppet master on August 14, 2006 05:27 AMdingus #15 - Posted by: puppet master on August 14, 2006 05:28 AMAh you are a consent puppet... #16 - Posted by: puppet master on August 14, 2006 07:16 AMOut of curiosity (due to my growing up in that area of the country) why did Cadet Happy choose the South Bend Tribune in the first picture? #17 - Posted by: Brian the Adequate on August 14, 2006 08:23 AMLOL. Love the last one. Good work. Well, goemagog; they support low budget clone films. Maybe that's how Castro survived. #19 - Posted by: Kay on August 14, 2006 12:39 PMjeremy -- i just copied the bigger picture, shrunk it down then inserted it in paper, then did the same thing a couple more times -- it was really quite simple brian -- i picked the south bend paper for two reasons -- 1. it was one of the first papers that showed up in the World Front Pages website (link is on drudge), and 2. it was just a weird thing -- why the heck would anyone in cuba have a current copy of a south bend paper -- that's about it #20 - Posted by: cadet on August 14, 2006 01:11 PMThey all look convincing except the one with the watch. Why would Castro wear his watch upside down? LOL, but someone has way too much time on their hands. #22 - Posted by: seanmahair on August 15, 2006 12:25 AMPost a comment
