White and Nerdy
Posted by Frank J. at 06:44 PM | View blog reactions | Comments (14)

This music video is hilarious and deserves linkage just for what he buys in the back alley at the end. I've heard of that but never seen it; have any of you?

Saw it when I was a teen. It was horrifying.

I think Somethingawful or some such site had a review up; I'll search for it and post a link if I can find it.

Never saw it as a kid, but my buddy had me listen to it the other day. I was laughing my a$$ off.

Gotta keep it white & nerdy.

I am a member of the Scifi Club at my college and every member agrees, along with true Star Wars fans, that that movie is the most worthless one produced for the Star Wars universe.

It is one of the most painful viewing experiences there is. In other words it's must viewing. The first 20 or so minutes of the movie is Wookies grunting and moaning. I

I I did learn a few things from this movie though. I learned how to tell male and female wookies apart. Female wookies wear Aprons, males do not. And also the wookie children looking like over sized deformed Ewoks.

The one redeeming thing about this movie that it does contain the first appearance of Boba Fett....actually I take that back it has two redeeming values. The second being Bea Arthur makes an appearance as well.

I saw it when I was about seven years old, and I felt ripped off by that little travesty.

Ahh yes, I love that video.

Confession - I used to work with Marty -the actual person mentioned in a Weird Al song on an earlier album - you know, Torso Boy. This video is just a little TOO accurate - you laugh at some bits like "what a dork" and other bits you just sort of laugh at yourself, keeping score on which is which. That reminds me I need a golf ball retriever and two black curtains...

Yeah, saw the Holiday special as a kid and had it over for bad movie night - it was the worst thing we'd seen - sort of an inadvertent tribute to the late 1970's in all their craptacular lack of glory. Like "Interior Descrations" by James Lileks.

I used to be a Star Wars FREAK. That said, I am too young to have actually seen the Holiday Special...but I did read the script online somewhere. Probably the same place I read the Attack of the Clones script two years before AOTC came out. It was so bad that George Lucas wanted to destroy every copy of it personally with an axe.

This is coming from the same man who invented the character of Jar Jar Binks, so it was pretty bad.

The whole thing, sans commercials, crappy quality, RealPlayer format (scroll down):

I have a friend who has the SWHS. I may borrow it if I feel masochistic enough one day.

#12 - Posted by: ZK on October 5, 2006 09:10 AM

Yeah, I've seen it. Or rather, I saw the first 20 minutes, after which I was screaming in pain and despair.

For one thing, Chewbacca's son's name is . . ."Lumpy?!"

And then there's that trippy VR scene . . . *shudders*. . . like really bad phone sex. . .ick. . .

I'd have to say, it was worse that "Manos: The Hand of Fate". And that was pretty damn bad. . .

I think that that's how you buy a copy of National Review if you live in San Francisco.
