Nobel Appeasement Prize
In less than 24 hours, 5 Norwegians will announce the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize. Just remember who won last year: 2005 : The prize was divided equally between: International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and its Director General Mohamed ElBaradei, Egypt, 1942 - Nice going there in Pyongyang, jackass. It's going to be hard to top the irony this year, but... Who do you think can top last year's appeasement-and-surrendermonger? 18 Responses To "Nobel Appeasement Prize"
Just depends how much their BDS overcomes their senses. If they really wanted to prove how retarded they are there are some options available. Mr. Poofy Hair himself. For sticking it to the US! So Damned Insane. For speaking Truth to Power. The Dishonorable Mr. Murtha, for his valiant attempts to reign in the Great Satan's attempts to crush the oppressed insurgents in Iraq. Little Mr. I Am A Nutjob in Iran, for trying to bring the blessings of atomic energy to his poor energy starved nation. Hugo Chavez, for his bravery in sticking up for the oppressed, for donating his oil to the poor, for being a Hero of the Revolution! Fidel Castro, might be the last chance to give him a major award before he shuffles off his mortal coil and goes to Hell. #1 - Posted by: John Morris on October 12, 2006 03:41 PMMy choice would be the “missile damaged” ambulance in the Lebanon attacks this year. It took a lot abuse for the wrong reasons and it would send a message to the world about “Targeting innocent populations.” #2 - Posted by: Denny Kerns on October 12, 2006 03:45 PMI think we need to consider which americans are worthy of the Nobel Peace Prize. I think Tookie Williams and Cindy Sheehan are sufficiently hypocritical for the prize. Those are my nominations. #3 - Posted by: motopolitico on October 12, 2006 04:02 PMmotopolitico - Looks like Cindy Sheehan to me, too. http://www.kvue.com/news/local/stories/101106cckrLocalSheehan.2ce2644a.html #4 - Posted by: Silicon Valley Jim on October 12, 2006 04:48 PMOh this is easy: Hassan Nasrallah for routing the Israelis and freeing the Lebanese. #5 - Posted by: Leland on October 12, 2006 04:54 PMBono. All the way. #6 - Posted by: on October 12, 2006 04:55 PMBono? No way, he would be a safe uncontroversial pick. Don't know how I could have forgotten Mama Moonbat on my previous list of nominees, but yea, she is the obvious choice. #7 - Posted by: John Morris on October 12, 2006 05:02 PMMy vote for most ironic choice would have to be Jacques Chirac. After all, he's doing such a great job keeping the peace in his own country that he keeps recommending his methods to the rest of the world. #8 - Posted by: Sixth Sense on October 12, 2006 05:42 PMI can't imagine that any American could win, so I'll have to go with Al Gore instead...for his work in convincing people that the world is doomed, and for putting down the US in general. #9 - Posted by: Son of Bob on October 12, 2006 06:40 PMIt's gotta be Slick Willie & His Hand-Jive Wife—for speaking teeth to glower. #10 - Posted by: The Great Santini on October 12, 2006 06:56 PMI bet it is going to be Al Gore. But if the trend continues, then that would mean that 2007 is the year the world will end because of Global Warming. Maybe Frank j. could win for his Realistic plan for world peace - Nuke the Moon!!! #12 - Posted by: AlaskaNick on October 12, 2006 07:20 PMVladimir Putin! He ended the war in Chechnya (you don't hear anything about it, do you?) and he kept Ukraine in line by cutting off fuel supplies, rather than sending in troops, like the old days. The guys in Oslo have got to be impressed by the "blackmail, not bullets" strategy. #13 - Posted by: Lorenzo on October 12, 2006 08:42 PMMy vote: Madlyn "Let's just be friends" Albright who agreed to provide nuclear reactors to the NK's. Now there's a gift that keeps on givin'... Considering how well the deal she arranged with North Korea is proving to have worked out, I'm voting for Madalyn "All-Dark" to be high on the short list. #16 - Posted by: Clintodon on October 13, 2006 11:17 AMIt actually went to someone who deserved it -- who probably has done more to aleviate poverty in Bangladesh than Bono, George Harrisson, and the UN combined! #17 - Posted by: Room 237 on October 13, 2006 12:12 PMC'mon! It's a no brainer! Koffee Annan! After all, hasn't he done everything he could to stop American agression? #18 - Posted by: Uncle JR on October 13, 2006 07:02 PMPost a comment
