Gayage?
Posted by Frank J. at 04:38 PM | View blog reactions | Comments (47)

The New Jersey judiciary has ruled that gay marriage has to be allowed no matter what the citizens of Jersey think, but whether it's called "marriage" or not is left to the democratic process.

So what should it be called? Tell me your ideas in the comments!

And try and keep it PG...

The New Jersey Judiciary sounds very stupid to me.

Shut up! Like you know anything about judiciating!

It's a lot of pressure!

Mantrimony

#6 - Posted by: The Professor on October 25, 2006 05:07 PM

Not when you don't pay attention to whether or not your rulings are accurate or even make sense, it's not.

I could do all kinds of judiciating if I didn't have to think about what the laws say and mean.

#7 - Posted by: Dr. John Allan on October 25, 2006 05:14 PM

There is already a perfectly good word for it: sodomy.

#8 - Posted by: Silicon Valley Jim on October 25, 2006 05:20 PM

Let's call it:
"The New Jersey Statue Recognizing the Rights of Men Who Wish to Insert Their Wing-Wangs into the Large Intestines of Other Men and Want to Make Sure That the Rest of the World Acknowledges and Rewards Their Decision to Engage in Said Acts."

#9 - Posted by: Beo on October 25, 2006 05:21 PM

Mawwage and man-train are just too funny. I can't follow that up with anything approaching the greatness of those answers.

At least not yet.

I'm from New Jersey. I don't know what "man-train" means, but that's because I had members of the NJ Judiciary as law professors in law school. Mawwage is really funny. I'll laugh later tonight when I figure out "man-train."

#13 - Posted by: Recovering Lawyer from Jersey Shore on October 25, 2006 05:57 PM

New Jerbilage LOL!!!

Now they have to change their animal protection laws also. Can a man marry his gerbil, or is it just an accessory?

Derbyshire came up with a good term for it a while back, homogamy. I agree with Jim though, sodomy works just fine.

Well, it sure sounds as the NJ oligarchy is working out just dandy!
Are they having a big shin-dig to celebrate their conversion from citizens to subjects?

Yes and to think, failure to procreate was considered grounds for annulment not so very long ago.
It’s a brave new world folks! So much better in all ways than what came before. Prepare to have it all shoved down your throat, or staight up the keester.

I couldn't come up with anything near as funny as what I've read, but I'd like to suggest a warning that one should not be eating Ramen Noodles while one is reading previous suggestions, so that the danger of noodles exiting one's nose in an explosive vent might be averted.
