The Nutroots Are Resorting to Bombing!
Posted by Frank J. at 06:31 PM | View blog reactions | Comments (18)

I heard the nutroots are trying to use Google-bombing to influence the election, which I think is stupid and gay and perhaps even a bigger waste of time than an internet petition. Still, it's apparently made national news (there's a link to the story in the MSNBC ad on my sidebar right now). John Hawkins is trying to counter it with his own set of links for bloggers to post (seen here), but I dunno. I don't think anyone is going to make a voting decision based on the first hit from a Google search.

What do you think?

This seems like it's just one step removed from trying to influence the election by locking yourself in your bedroom down in your mother's basement and playing World of Warcraft for two weeks straight.

Maybe we could use Google Boming to get you ahead of Anne Frank though. Just think about it. The #1 google 'Frank'. Wow.

If the Democrats go through with their bombings, would that make them terrorists?

#3 - Posted by: Michael R. on October 26, 2006 08:32 PM

Bombing? That sounds awful violent. Are Democrats the party of peace? Must be a Rove plot.

I'm just glad they're keeping busy. If it wasn't this the poor things would be running with scissors again.

No, no, no. This is a great investment of the moonbats' time. It's the most productive thing they've done since they all stood in a circle and witnessed a homosexual act.

#6 - Posted by: Moneyman on October 26, 2006 09:58 PM

Too bad we haven't convinced them guild building in World of Warcraft could influence the elections.

#7 - Posted by: spacemonkey on October 26, 2006 10:34 PM

It's a waste of time, of course, if anyone wants to provide me with the links and then link to my blog, then I'll spend the time.

And, the people who said this is probably a more productive use of the nutroot's time are probably correct...

...oh yeah, what Rick said...

and, I'm still a registered independant, so f' the lemmings, and Nuke the Moon.

Making a political decision based on what Google says would be almost as stupid as making a religious decision based on what Wikipedia says...

But let the Google-bombers waste their time...Liberals, they should like, get a JOB or something...

I'm pretty happy the media is covering it, it shows people that the nutroots thinks they're all too stupid to make an intelligent decision.

I can understand that though, the nutroots can't understand how anybody could make an intelligent decision. It's just anathema to their way of thinking. They prefer moronic decisions.

#11 - Posted by: Veeshir on October 27, 2006 07:05 AM

I consider myself well-informed on all the major issues. I would never let the internet to influence my decisions. I use a Quija Board.

#12 - Posted by: captamerica on October 27, 2006 07:06 AM

Isn't that self-defeating?
Google is so Left-leaning, that for the Nutroots to bomb it is ridiculous.

No one would ever accuse the Libs of playing by the rules.
//After all rules impede personal freedom. Rules also keep chaos from reigning supreme, but anarchy needs chaos to exist, therefore rule breaking is an established method of undermining civilization.//

Tha's at the core of Liberalism and the Demons (sorry typo, Demos) party. The destruction of our way of life and chaos. In chaos there is profit, you know, wink, wink, nudge, nudge, say no more ,say no more!

Even though they'll deny it there is no capitalist like a Lib. It helps that they have very little in the way of a moral compass. Makes all those pesky moral decisions easier to decide.

Sorry,
Three hours of sleep, a baby teething and a hubby working on pnemonia, make for bad typing.
Tha's translates into That's. I know engage brain before releasing brake on fingers.

The demo's evil plan is foiled when the they discover the lack of a google search engine in the electronic voting booth.

#16 - Posted by: MitchW on October 27, 2006 09:33 AM

They already did bomb-Air America declared bankruptcy.

#17 - Posted by: Writer on October 27, 2006 01:11 PM

For this to work, the effort needs to remain secret. If you publicize your effort to put negative articles at the top of a Google search, you discredit any truly negative articles that belong there on their own merits. A person informed of the operation will discount any negative articles immediately as they will consider them to be a part of the Google bomb operation. Thems' some political smarts right there.

Not that they would ever venture out of mom's basement, but it keeps these truly commited nutroots salad-tossers working on their computer rather than whiling away their time at the pool hall or in a 'get out the vote' effort.
