The front-runners at this point for the Republican nomination are John McCain, who is already seventy years old and has had two bouts with malignant lymphoma, and Rudy Giuliani, who has had prostate cancer. As soon as either one of them gets the nomination, the MSM will suddenly "discover" these things, and there will be lots of stories about cancer and, if it's McCain, his age (for comparison, Ronald Reagan, whose age was an issue in the 1980 Presidential election, was 69 at the time; McCain will be nearly as old in 2008 as Reagan was when he ran for his second term).

Both Hillary and Obama have national name recognition, and both have the MSM on their side. We discount the Democrats' chances at our peril.

I want Michael Steele on the ticket (preferably as VEEP) in 2008 and at the top of the ticket in either 2012 (if, God forbid, the Dems win in 08) or 2016!

I used to be really big on boycotts and throwing stuff out and all that, for politics and other reasons...not that I would think it would make a difference, just to feel better personally. Then I saw Toby Keith in an ad for this vote to end poverty in Africa thing, and he's certainly not a liberal. I don't listen to country so that doesn't matter, but the thing is now I just don't know what to think, so I'm just going to buy what I feel like if the creators don't piss me off to much.

Thinking about it, though, Obama's name is close enough to Osama that many Democrats will get confused and vote for him anyway, even if he is black.
