Science!

The Bulletin of Atomic Scientists is moving the Doomday Clock up in light of developments in North Korea, Iran, and global climate shift increasing the proliferation of "peaceful" nuclear energy ventures.

What are other Scientific Bulletins doing?

  • The Bulletin of Weird Scientists have denounced Anthony Michael Hall for the seventeenth time.

  • The Bulletin of Short Scientists is demanding stepladders and the heavy equipment storage moved closer to the floor.

  • The Bulletin of Scientologists has Tom Cruise of the cover. Last issue was John Travolta. And before that, Tome Cruise. And before that, John Travolt- wait, why are you asking this? What is your Theta level, drone?

  • The Bulletin of Blind Scientists (published in Braille) condemns Miss Sakamoto for the seventeenth time.

I don't think I've covered them all... what other scientific bulletins doing in their latest issues?

Meanwhile, Spacemonkey is making adjustments to the IMAO Doomsday Clock.

This is when you might want to hide under your desk or brace yourself in a sturdy doorframe.

The Bulletin of Female Scientists announces they still haven't found a way to cause men to have PMS, but remain hopeful regarding new stem cell research.

The American Mathematical Monthly has an article on how cool it is that if you try to wiggle both index fingers at the same time, they tend to either wiggle in phase or antiphase.

No kidding. They also have an article called "Attainable Patterns in Alien Tiles". Who let the mathematicians into Area 51???

Well, the Bulletin of Fusion Energy Scientists announced that we'll have fusion power in thirty years...just like they did thirty years ago.

Hey, I just tried it, and it's true! It actually takes more effort to wiggle your fingers in a way that's neither in phase or 90 degrees out of phase than it is to wiggle them in phase or 90 degrees out of phase.

I know, I probably need to get out more.

So, the end of the world will be brought about by a massive monkey poo flinging?
