The employee of the year lives somewhere in India. #1 - Posted by: AlanABQ on January 18, 2007 05:30 PMPlease tell me that Excitable Andy was one of the 289. #2 - Posted by: Scott R on January 18, 2007 07:40 PMIf the Bush Economy had something to do with people not believing the liberal media, then I guess that reason makes sense. #3 - Posted by: shimauma on January 18, 2007 09:55 PMThey’ve eliminated all their remaining news gatherers, and are going to run even more second hand copy of stories already beaten to death in the media. Ouch, I just bit myself! The real question is, if they are going to focus more on online products and news, does this mean they are going to finally start reporting "facts" instead of fiction masquerading as facts. Knowing these ignoramuses however they will continue to pollute the net with their brand of PC drivel and liberal pap. I believe they think they can take on the bloggers on their home turf. That went so well when they tried to do that with radio (Air America)? They never learn. #6 - Posted by: seanmahair on January 19, 2007 09:15 AMWait a tick... Who's going to give me the vital news on subjects like bennifer, camron diaz, paris hilton, nicole ritchie, Mel Gibson's latest string of epithets, et al? How am I going to make it through the line at the grocery store if Time, Inc. lays off the reporters who feed my morbid curiosity? I'll have nothing to make my life seem normal! Viva la Enquirer! #7 - Posted by: Thor on January 19, 2007 10:22 AMI rather enjoy Time magazine. Now will the “Person of The Year” please shut the f*ck up! Thank you, Time Inc. I couldn't wait for Friday Cat blogging to post this. Saddam's Cat #10 - Posted by: hwy93 on January 19, 2007 12:23 PMThe layoffs are just phase 1 of Time magazines demise. It will happen before the end of the year. The evidence is strong to support this. Being the politically correct rag that it is (as Intellectual said, they did convict the marines of massacre before being charged) they have named everybody person of the year. This way when they shut down nobody can say they were left out. Hussien Oblahblahblahma can't complain that he was excluded for being "black". Hillarity Clinton can say she was excluded for being, um, I'm not sure what she is. They won't have to deal with the fallout when naming Ceaser Chavez or Castro as people of the year. Everyliving person has been appeased and given the title of POTY. The only other explanation is that they are being run by a bunch of soccer moms who won't keep score so noboby loses. We're all winners! Except for the people who don't finish first. #11 - Posted by: Gun Toting Whacko on January 19, 2007 02:01 PMPost a comment
