Screw the Poor: An Editorial By RightWingDuck
Many poor don't even have the common sense to run away from a hurricane. I haven't always felt this way. It used to be that I tolerated the poor because I could sympathize with them. As a young man, I had no training, no skills, no nothing. Thusly, I was poor. But then I finished high school and was able to find gainful employment by taking the extreme measure of filling out job applications. I acknowledge not everybody had the same opportunities that I did. Many poor are graduates of an American high school system; meaning many of them can't write or read English.
I changed my mind about the poor when I read an article by Washington Post blogger William Arkin - The troops also need to support the people. (Thanks the the lovely Michelle Malkin site) Let me share with you a few quotes... These soldiers should be grateful that the American public, which by all polls overwhelmingly disapproves of the Iraq war and the President's handling of it, do still offer their support to them, and their respect. Whenever we hear poor people complain that not enough is being done to help them you should say, "Step back poor person. We pay for your bastard child, your health insurance, your rent, and your food. If I want your opinion I'll search through your filthy little shopping cart and fish it out." I've also noticed that in poor neighborhoods there tends to be a lot of crime. I don't know why, if you're going to rob people why do it in a poor neighborhood? Robber:(to pedestrian) This is a real gun. Give me your money. Poor person: I'm poor. I don't have any money! Robber: Golly! Poor person: Are you going to shoot me? Robber: Nah, I can't afford any bullets. Why do they do this? I don't know. Poor people are stupid. Many poor don't even have the common sense to run away from a hurricane. I can hear you now, "You can't judge all poor people on the mere few who rob and steal and maim." Yes, but at some point I have to ask, "Shouldn't poor people also support my needs?" What gives them a right to feelings? If they do have feelings, are my tax dollars paying for them? They better not be. In conclusion, the American public is overwhelmingly against being poor. As far as desirability, being poor ranks almost last in every elementary school's Career Day (it comes in just ahead of WaPo Blogger.) If being poor is so hated, then shouldn't the poor have a greater sense of respect for those who provide for them? Lest you think I'm un-American, let me state clearly that I don't always support the war on poverty - but I do support the poor. Now, maybe, the poor should support us. Vote for Tex! Sorry, I should have at least quoted him. I'm gonna stop government spending in almost every area you can imagine. The government will be so starved of revenue it will barely be able to function. You'll have to pay for stuff yourselves instead of expecting other people to do it. Your money is your money. It does not belong to the government, your neighbour, the unemployed or any other part of the "community". Nobody else is going to pay for your damned kids education, your babysitting, your house or your groceries. and here's his conclusion The government will exist to do three things, and only three things: 1: Protect the borders with a standing military You are either on to something or you’re on something, Daffy! Roasted duck with plum sauce…yum! Hey, is AquaMan your boyfriend? #3 - Posted by: ussjimmycarter on February 1, 2007 12:02 PMI agree with wacky WaPo Willie- I, too, am against sending them obscene Armenians. #4 - Posted by: AlanABQ on February 1, 2007 12:51 PM//Many poor don't even have the common sense to run away from a hurricane.// THAT was classic, Ducky. You have earned my awe and admiration even more. What I hate most about the poor is how they keep having kids, like they got nuthin better to do than screw around when THEY COULD BE LOOKING FOR JOBS!!!! What about all the carbon dioxide the poor are causing just by breathing. (Global Warming) They should also not be allowed to purchase smokes, booze, drugs by Lottery tickets or gamble. This will help them not be poor anymore They should be sterilized as well. After all poverty breeds poverty (wait a minute, abortion takes care of some of that, maybe it could become mandatory) Hey if our military men and women are supposed to be governed by what Americans think, then so should the poor. I'm an American and this is what I think! I hit the link that Veeshir posted & read the whole speech. It was friggin' great! That's the type of Libertarian-ish humor I can enjoy. I think whackingday is going to make it into my bookmarks now. Of course, not ahead of IMAO... #7 - Posted by: AlanABQ on February 1, 2007 07:38 PMPost a comment
