Increase your energy consumption now, my back can't take all this shoveling!
Posted by Frank J. at 08:37 AM | View blog reactions | Comments (20)

This is the most it has snowed in the fifteen years I have lived in the Twin Cities. Therefore, it must be due to something man did. In all likelihood, it was caused by your efforts to cut energy consumption, thereby lessening the effects of global warming. I might be wrong, but can we really afford to take the risk that I am? Turn all the lights on in your home and office, remove the catalytic converter from your vehicle, call up your private jet, and go outside and start burning garbage. Our children are counting on you.

And to think, just a few days ago we were sitting outside enjoying that 80 degree Orlando heat . . .

#$%#@% ^&*^&% %$^# ^&*^* $## you Cadet Happy, that last picture should have had a Not Safe for Anytime warning.

Now I gotta use the brillo pad to get the image out of my mind. Unclean, unclean.

We got 20" of snow yesterday here in Minnesota! Al Gore can blow me!

#2 - Posted by: ussjimmycarter on March 2, 2007 09:14 AM

AAAAAAAAAAAH My Head a-splode.

#3 - Posted by: motopolitico on March 2, 2007 09:16 AM

OY!
you should have put up a content warning for the last picture.

#4 - Posted by: Laura on March 2, 2007 09:22 AM

Enjoy the snow. I hope you get another 30 inches after putting that last picture in there so you are too busy shoveling to post anymore. *shudder*
I sure don't miss the snow except for the fun driving ;)

I've GOT to stop clicking the stupid "Read More" thingy.

Smooth as a Ken Doll, tho.

#6 - Posted by: PaleoMedic on March 2, 2007 09:30 AM

I think its safe to say, if you click my "read more" links, you're in for something unpleasant.

Besides, Frank is working those hot pants.

I need to stab out my mind's eye now. Some pictures are better left unposted.

#8 - Posted by: wRitErsbLock on March 2, 2007 09:55 AM

I'm now blind...thanks! The Minnesota Public Radio's forum on Gobal Warming has been canceled today due to the blizzard! Idiots!

#9 - Posted by: ussjimmycarter on March 2, 2007 10:01 AM

We got a solid foot in Mounds View. Nothing quite like the State Tournament Blizzard is there?

#10 - Posted by: P.J. on March 2, 2007 10:35 AM

Doesn't that violate Frank's own "Line in the Sand?"

Well Cadet, I guess it's farewell, you non-conformist.

#11 - Posted by: Spyndrilleum on March 2, 2007 12:54 PM

thanks for the SNOW photo's Cadet, my mom wanted me to send some, but now I can just send her this link.

Course that sword welding Frank may give her a heart attack...whaddya gonna do?

PS: Moonbunny's sword pictures are much better.

I'm in Duluth. I have not been able to even get off of my street since 2:30 yesterday. I live at an intersection of two hills and am having a great deal of fun watching suvs and other 4X4s getting stuck at the intersection. We got a lot of wind with the snow coming off of Lake Superior. My wife drove from the Cities to St. Cloud today and had no problems in her VW Bug.

#14 - Posted by: phobos on March 2, 2007 07:55 PM

I'll see if I can find a tire to burn for you.

#15 - Posted by: snarky on March 2, 2007 09:02 PM

So this is what Global Warming looks like. I always wondered. Maybe the folks in New York state would be willing to jump on board Algore's crisis express. I hear they only got 100 + inches of snow this year. They must be really suffering with the heat wave.

#16 - Posted by: seanmahair on March 3, 2007 09:36 AM

Dang...

I live in St. Cloud, MN...

My snowblower hasn't had this much of a workout in a long time.

It had lived a charmed life prior to this past week...

I'm going out to the garage right now to let the freon out of my window air conditioner.

Yeah, let's increase consumption of energy and melt the polar ice caps faster...that will shut off the Gulf Stream and plunge us into another ice age. With luck, this will kill off enough humans to allow the earth to bounce back. Maybe the survivors will learn something. I doubt it though...a quick glance at this site or, hell, just stepping outside is a painful reminder of how many morons populate this planet.

#18 - Posted by: Luke on March 5, 2007 08:38 AM

I live in the Twin Cities area... I wonder why so many IMAO readers and one of the bloggers live here?
Personally, I'm glad we got all the snow.
Woohoo!

#19 - Posted by: frankvoikel on March 5, 2007 10:17 AM

Luke, Good point. Kill yourself and we'll have one less whiny moron douche to put up with when we step outside. Wanker.
