I'm Tired of Hawkchicken Troops
Posted by Frank J. at 10:10 AM | View blog reactions | Comments (19)
It's easy to criticize civilians from thousands of miles away.
Ever see those troops who go on TV and criticize the public for not supporting their effort enough? What nerve! There they are in Iraq or Afghanistan, insulated from civilian life by thousands of miles, and they think they can criticize what we say here in the States? They're nothing but a bunch of hawkchickens. If what civilians say is so important to them, then why don't you get out of the military, become a civilian, and then they can support the troops all they want. Until they're ready to make that commitment, they have no right to criticize what we're saying.

SHEER BRILLIANCE !!!

#2 - Posted by: Roger on March 6, 2007 10:50 AM

Next thing you know, those hawkchickens will be telling Congress that they aren't qualified to tie their shoes without adult supervision, let alone decide troop levels, tactics, etc. The nerve!

The troops comments I have been reading are the ones complaining about the terrible health care under this administration. Some are also complaining about Bush cutting veterans benefits. It is all proof that the current administration absolutely does not support the troops at all. Their lives, deaths and head wounds are irrelevant to Dick and George. Fox News doesn't even care about the troops. They have buried the Walter Reed scandal just like many uncaring right wing blogs. Isn't time that the right really started supporting our troops instead of just supporting more war and bloodshed?

Walter Reed, government run healthcare at it's finest.

#5 - Posted by: spacemonkey on March 6, 2007 11:45 AM

It's awful convenient to paint military healthcare as substandard under Bush. But for those who've been subjected to the medical hobby shops that we have to use will tell you, it's be a piece of crap for a lot longer than that.

Also don't let the facts get in the way of your blaming Bush for cutting veterans benefits. If you would actually read the legislation instead of relying on MSM you would see that the riders attached to the bills and the threat of filibuster have all come from the left side of the aisle. The anti-Bushies are responsible for cutting MY benifits. It is YOUR fault you warthog faced baboon. But I say that with love you moron.

Besides - we like war and bloodshed. It's what we are paid to do and we are good at it.

Now I have to use some kind of user id to comment? Admit it, Frank, this is nothing more than your neo-con Jooooo plan to get me on a list in your Zionist conspiracy so that you can control me.

ADMIT IT!

I see you have been taking your meds, and are almost lucid again, Howard!

I'm an old salt, and the VA care back in the early '90s SUCKED! The staff was rude, and it seemed like the older folk got left just sitting around waiting. The VA hospital that I go to is a bit more crowded now, but the level of care that we get is much better than it used to be. Thanks HawkChickens for all your hard work!!

//The troops comments I have been reading are the ones complaining about the terrible health care //

Funny, "sm", what I remember about my 8 years in the Air Force is that a lot of our government facilities were run by...OMG!!!CIVILIANS!!! THAT'S RIGHT, YOU LEFTARD ASSHAT! GORRAM, RUTTIN' CIVILIANS WHO DIDN'T GIVE A RATS ASS HOW QUICKLY THEY PROCESSED OUR REQUIRED PAPERWORK SO LONG AS THEY GOT A GOVERNMENT PENSION THEMSELVES. Sure there was a Colonel or General or Chief MasterSergeant around to play liason, but you know what? Somehow or other the civilian f*ckers got paid more to ignore those guys to "save" money. Go figure.

You f*cking leftard.

Sac Man,

Sorry to inform you that Walter Reed Hospital has been having ongoing problems since the late 60’s at least. Problem is it’s a huge place and much of it is old. Yes, they have torn down sections and refurbished others, only to have other sections that weren’t a priority get old and run down in the mean time. Under peacetime conditions some of the facilities are excess. So with a limited budget they upgrade what they need and let part of the hospital lie unneeded. It's not peacetime. They can’t do that right now.

Fact is, the VA is much better than it was 10, 20, or 30 years ago. They do need to use resources that are not customarily kept on line. They need to fix these problems quickly. Of course the media wants to get as big a stink out of it as possible with recriminations and all. Well, we can thank them for their news information about the hospital, but it’s not for the media to decide whose heads get to roll.

It’s one thing to state that there are problems to address, but quite another to harass hard working people and destroy careers in an attempt to get at the administration. Part of this scandal is real, but it also smells of Washington hardball.

Genius!

#13 - Posted by: TBinSTL on March 6, 2007 03:37 PM

I'm calling a Penalty on Neo for using Washington and Ball in the same sentence. We are all well aware that there is a notable lack of balls in Washington and we will not be subjected to this erroneous information again!

Hahahahahahaha... Hawkchickens - brilliant! :-)

#15 - Posted by: Richmond on March 6, 2007 05:23 PM

Sarchasmo,

Complaining about Walter Reed...and you are the guys that want socialized health care? Sarchasm indeed.
Simple solution to stop all the anti-war whining...a war on hippies!

#16 - Posted by: Wolfman Dan on March 6, 2007 10:15 PM

Yeah! Just who the hell do these guys think they are?!

#17 - Posted by: Sir Andrew on March 7, 2007 09:12 AM

Hell yeah. That's about the funniest damn thing I've read in a long time right there. Keep up the good work Mr. IMAO. Don't forget to thank God for the hundreds of thousands lives at Walter Reed and the good work they do. It's not the buildings it's the system. It's the stale percentage of the GDP spent on the military. Look it up. It's sad we're under 4% when we're worth so much more. Kick it up to 7% for some new infrastructure over the next few years. America will pay for it in a weekend's worth of trips to the mall.

#18 - Posted by: SFCC on March 7, 2007 09:02 PM

er, that should read "saved at Walter Reed"
they have a great history
sorry was distracted by AB on AI as she waved goodbye and I furiously dialed her vote number

ain't America grand?
