The Media Went Liberal? How Did They Have Time with All the War Protesting?
To accept that, one has to believe an extreme, cartoonish stereotype of liberals. Sure, it's a stereotype based in reality and solid fact -- but its a cartoonish stereotype nonetheless. Thus we... uh... I was so sure I had a point. Well, I reason through the issues enough already; come up with your own concluding point in the comments. 16 Responses To "The Media Went Liberal? Muslims outraged. Film at 11. #1 - Posted by: motopolitico on March 20, 2007 08:36 AMThe only people (if you can call them that) who would think the MSM is Right-Leaning are those who "live" at Daily Kossack and Dummiecratic Underground. I suspect those being schooled at today's college campuses would also view the MSM as right-leaning. What a bunch of pussies! Whatever happened to thinking for yourself and going against conventional wisdom? These morons in school today just follow along with their commie pinko homo professors and don't stop to think and question...sad! #3 - Posted by: ussjimmycarter on March 20, 2007 09:00 AMwow thats a shocker, kinda like Sarah getting pulled over. :) Nope, I dont believe it..not for a minute! #4 - Posted by: Robert on March 20, 2007 09:50 AMUmm.... My local news staff needs to shave? #5 - Posted by: Sir Andrew on March 20, 2007 10:06 AMReally, who could be so obtuse as to think the media is right-leaning? I can think of several million folks who live within fifty miles or so of me who think that.
Need you even ask? Of course they are. I'm pleased that you used the term "left-wingers", by the way. We conservatives are usually referred to as "right-wingers", as if we're out of the mainstream, while lefties are referred to as "liberals". They aren't liberals. Real liberals aren't opposed to a strong national defense. Real liberals believe in freedom of speech. Real liberals don't believe in racial or sexual quotas. Real liberals aren't hostile to religion. Hillary Clinton, Teddy Kennedy, John Edwards, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, etc., aren't liberals. They're lefties. #6 - Posted by: Silicon Valley Jim on March 20, 2007 10:51 AMDude. The real caption for the picture is "Sex-deprived Arabs riot over sheep shortage." Your average local news staff is way dirtier, uglier and less rational. #7 - Posted by: Bile, Snark, and Sneer on March 20, 2007 01:39 PM//Sure, it's a stereotype based in reality and solid fact -- but its a cartoonish stereotype nonetheless. Thus we... uh...// .....anytime you see a big fat ol' liberal, take out your trusty number 2 pencil and erase them. You could drop a piano on them but if they're cartoons it won't really hurt them, so erasing is the best answer. ( Just remember for Rosie and Michael you'll need one of those big pink erasers, after all that's a whole lot of cartoon to erase and you wouldn't want to stop halfway, that would just be too cruel.) #8 - Posted by: seanmahair on March 20, 2007 02:16 PMIsn't that the guy from "300"? #9 - Posted by: Mile66 on March 20, 2007 03:30 PMYes! It is! http://www.imdb.com/gallery/ss/0416449/FCJG3000098.jpg.html?path=gallery&path_key=0416449&seq=3 #10 - Posted by: Mile66 on March 20, 2007 03:35 PMFrank, where did you get that photo of Hillary's camaign staff? They're too complacent and well groomed to work at the New York Slimes. BTW: Best way to wipe out a Toon: Dip! Dang Wolfman, I forgot all about the Dip. The guys in the picture show a remarkable resemblance to the Weasels though. All they need is Judge Doom to complete the ensemble. #12 - Posted by: seanmahair on March 20, 2007 11:22 PMIs it true that by stopping the production of carbon dioxide in a Terrorist or Socialist, that we become “Carbon Neutral”? I’ll bet that stopping a particularly talkative one could even make you “Carbon-Negative”. In that case, Gore should be worth enough Carbon Credits to benefit the entire state of Texas for the next twenty years… The New York Slimes staff could be worth a century or more… #13 - Posted by: Writer on March 21, 2007 12:30 PMReally, who could be so obtuse as to think the media is right-leaning? Answer: people so far to the left that Hillary looks like Reagan. So for them, the press really is right-leaning. They're simply that socialist. #14 - Posted by: Basilisk on March 21, 2007 07:26 PMOn a ship listing heavily to port, any line pointing to the keel will look starboard leaning. #15 - Posted by: DesertElephant on March 21, 2007 08:20 PMBasilisk, you underestimate Hillary. "I mean, you've got a conservative and right-wing press presence with really nothing on the other end of the political spectrum." - Hillary Clinton on C-Span, 1/19/1997, complains about the mainstream media, which are all conservatives in her opinion. #16 - Posted by: Tristan on March 23, 2007 12:05 PMPost a comment
