Wars Are Inconvenient to Democrats
Posted by Frank J. at 02:57 PM | View blog reactions | Comments (19)
The only thing she ever wanted to fight is a price increase at the hair salon.
The Democrats seem to be getting increasingly apoplectic about getting the war over with before election season. Since the war is so unpopular, you'd think they'd want it around to campaign against.

But then you'd be wrong and stupid.

The fact is war is a serious thing, and the last thing Democrats need during a presidential election is a reminder that there are serious things in the world. Their issues are things like healthcare and minimum wage -- things that we are now convinced are very very important even though the human race has survived without them for thousands of years. In fact, the entire Democrat platform is of similarly unserious things. Important things like killing bad people -- a function of government dating back to first ant colony -- is not something they ever want to have to deal with. Barack Obama is pissing his pants right now over the idea that, if he wins the presidency, the first things he'll have to deal with is an actual war. They want to be like Europe: Concerned about useless things and looking civilized until they are inevitably overthrown by barbarians.

So expect increasingly desperate measures to get rid of the war before 2008. They want things to be like 1992 when Americans were carefree, ignorant of evil, and thought they could indulge themselves by electing a lecherous hillbilly who promised them shiny baubles. Don't worry, Democrats, we'll get there again one day; some more scary people just need to die first.

Since 2000, the Dems political strategy has been to "Beat Bush". It won't change in 2008.

Of course it hasn't occurred to the Dems that we could "get rid of the war" by winning. Naaa, that'd be too hard.

DemoCRAPs (Liberals) are not serious people. They want to worry about emotional issues and do not want to deal with serious or difficult issues. They live in an idealistic Marxist world that cannot exist as long as people want different goals, or even the same goals where there are too few to go around.
They refuse to allow logic or historical evidence to sway them from their dreams, and would prefer to close their eyes and cover their ears and ignore what they do not want to see or hear.
It is incredibly frustrating to deal with them as they refuse to accept anything outside their world-views.

Now we have the prospects of a lesbian hillbilly promising “a village” for all the ails us which to me means everyone that doesn’t believe like her will be sent to a concentration camp for attempted reeducation by “the village” and if unsuccessful…well…it worked for Stalin…

Emil-

"I think I was too occupied paying my healthcare one quarter of the average american insurance to care about those thugs."

You might get busy trying to write a comprehensible sentence...

I am personally too busy paying over 50% of my income in taxes so that your deadbeat, illegal immigrant relatives can have free healthcare and housing.

Now we have the prospects of a lesbian hillbilly

Hillary isn't a hillbilly, although she did claim that folks were out to get her and Bill because they were from Arkansas. Hillary grew up in Park Ridge, Illinois, an upper-middle-class suburb of Chicago.

There are, of course, a myriad of other reasons not to elect her President.

Or better yet...soap.

Speaking of the nether regions, does anyone else get that "ass-pucker" sensation every time you see an image of her (Pelosi) or Hitlery?

Emiliano:
Might want to try taking a basic economics class sometime. Here's a preview: if a government runs something, that something is funded through taxation! I know it might be shocking, but the government really doesn't have a magic tree that creates assets on demand.

"I am personally too busy paying over 50% of my income in taxes so that your deadbeat, illegal immigrant relatives can have free healthcare and housing."

My "illegal immigrant relatives" are the Italian physics and matemathics students that get all the few PhD's and fellowships that Indians, Ukrainian, Chinese and Iranian students had left to you Americans.
Having attended only the shitty italian State high school and university.

@ Slowking Man: of course I was considering the quote of our taxes that goes into healthcare. It's just that your health insurance is way more expensive than our taxes, and it's becoming more expensive at rates that are 4 times the inflation.
After all, it's Schwartzenegger that wants to do something about it in California, and he does'nt sound Marxist to me...

OK, Emiliano. Name them & back it up. Since they are PhD's & Fellows, it shouldn't be too hard to trace them back to you, since there's so few PhD's & fellowships to go around.

I was just joking about the idea of European or Italian as illegal immigrants... I don't have any relative in the States. The only one was my great-grandfather, he went to New York and came back with only half-a-dollar (which is now my sister's earring). He wasn't that smart, I guess.

I've got some friend studying there, though, and of course I'm not giving any name... it should be enough to know that, in '99, 39% of math and computer science PhD and 40% of engineering PhDs were assigned to temporary residents (and this statistic cuts off a lot of Chinese students which became permanent residents...).

They still think is 1972:
1972 Bumper Sticker:
War is bad for flowers and other graowing things

Someday the left may wise up beyond the level of the Bumper Sticker, we hope.

The real reason Demoncrats dislike war has nothing to do with pacifism or Democracy. What they hate is the fact that all of the money spend on the military can't be used to support even more social programs, so they can buy more votes and enslave more people.

Demoncrats: All Slavery, all the time, generations before and generations to come. We know how to live your life better than you do. We are your god.

"What they hate is the fact that all of the money spend on the military can't be used to support even more social programs, so they can buy more votes and enslave more people."

And Roosevelt (WWII, AND New Deal)? J.F.K. (first involvment in Vietnam)? L.B.J (escalation from Vietnam, from 16.000 american soldiers to 550.000, AND Medicare-Medicaid)? Jim Carter (funding of anti-soviet afghan fighter, before Reagan)? Bill Clinton (Kosovo, Somalia)?
Were they republicans?

Have you ever read about militar Keynesism? Americans are known for being pragmatics and an-ideological. It seems to me that you're more litigious and partial in judging the opposite political side than the most obnoxious italian partisan.

Concerned about useless things and looking civilized until they are inevitably overthrown by barbarians.

Emiliano, you might look to more recent history. Like WWII and the fascists.

It's funny, but EUnuchs always brag about how little they pay for health care yet they never seem to brag about how little they pay/paid for protection from barbarians, like the USSR in the last century. They also ignore the fact that their militaries can be puny because we Americans pay for their protection.

It's funny (Not Ray Jay funny but OJ funny) but the EUnuchs hate America (who has protected them from outside threats and themselves for over 60 years) and love Iran (who wants to destroy their freedoms and institute one giant Sharia World).

What is the difference between a “Liberal” and a “Progressive”?
Liberals are Cowards.
Progressives are too Cowardly to admit they are Liberals.

#18 - Posted by: Writer on April 24, 2007 03:50 PM

Concerned about useless things and looking civilized until they are inevitably overthrown by barbarians.

What you don't realize is that they will never be overthrown by the barbarians-- they will scream to the US to help them out, and being the good neighbors that we are we will pull their @$$es out of the fire yet again. And they will procede to complain about our savage methods of putting down those that attempt to destroy our society. (Playing loud music and flickering the lights? You're worse than the devil!)
