Once again you're inferring that Fred Thompson is evil, and that cute, furry animals are afraid of him. But, this is not true. The animals of the forest often gather on Fred's lawn, as they know they will be safe as long as they are near Fred.
That would explain the whole Jimi Hendrix to Boy George transformation in rock n roll.
