I always thought it was common sense that illegal activities, such as drug smuggling, downloading illegal MP3s, and jay walking funded terrorist operations.

Well if they start strapping bombs to the Mexicans all we have to do is start collecting groups of them and "bang", that's less illegals to push back across the border.

I wish I didn't feel like that would be a good thing, but since we can't seem to get them to stop coming here having them blow themselves up seems to be the next logical step. That makes me really uncomfortable, safer maybe, but uncomfortable just the same.

Who wants to bet that Venezuela would be more than willing to be a staging area for Islamic cells? It's been reported that there have been al Qaeda operatives in South America already, so the road through Mexico (and thereby to the US) is probably already mapped out.

Maybe it's just a matter of time. Unless we just go to town on South American governments who are hostile to the US and willing to "do business" with terrorists.
