Did You See Outbreak? I Didn't, But I Know a Monkey Was Involved
I was very alarmed to see this story about a monkey repeatedly escaping a zoo. You'd think with all the modern technology we have, we'd have mastered how to isolate and contain a monkey by now. Well, if you can't keep a monkey caged, then you need to destroy. If you were a science lab that had a strain of small pox and it kept escaping, you'd expect them to destroy the virus rather than trying to contain it anymore. Such should be our attitude towards monkeys. 5 Responses To "Did You See Outbreak? I Didn't, But I Know a Monkey Was Involved"
When you say "destroy" I presume you are referring to the "Brain trust" assigned to restraining the Monkey, rather than the Monkey itself. As to why the Monkey is finding it so easy to escape let us consider the 3 obvious reasons: 1)Where is this "Zoo" located? Mississippi. 2) What kind of idiots buy a $300 lock that can be opened without needing a key? I can buy a Master Brand Padlock for $10 that a 9mm slug fired at close range can't crack open, much less a monkey who belongs chained to an organ grinder name Luigi. 3) Where is this "Zoo" located? Mississippi. Nuff said!
what ever happened with the monkey pen someone sabotaged near your house and the Justice League's search for Aquaman? #2 - Posted by: wRitErsbLock on August 15, 2007 11:57 AMAt the Cincinnati Zoo they have a monkey island and almost every night the monkeys escape. We were on an after hours tour (ah membership, it has it's priviledges) and when our tour group walked near monkey island we saw a monkey eating out of a trashcan about 20 yards away from us. He quickly jumped back over the fence and made his way back to the island. The guide radioed the keepers in a very manner of fact, "monkey's out again" tone. #3 - Posted by: "The" Chris on August 15, 2007 01:19 PMI think you are getting Democrats and monkeys mixed up. #4 - Posted by: XMariner on August 15, 2007 08:02 PMWe had a monkey on the loose in my hometown. (It was somebody's escaped pet.) The guy who owned i brought it to bars hoping it would help him pick up women, until it bit one and ran off. Rush even talked about, although it's not much different than the way most of the aging hippies around here behave. #5 - Posted by: Oromin on August 16, 2007 03:08 AMPost a comment
