Hugo Chavez is proposing a six hour workday for his people. Does the six hours of work include the standing on a street corner begging for change?

By six hour work week, I assume you mean six hour work day which all in all, would be sweet if it was at all feasible. :o)

[But it was much crazier the other way. -Ed.]

Of course it needs not be said that the Government will now enforce mandatory hobbies in industrial production.

Well, tripling the present workday certainly won't sit well with his minions.

It's only natural. In their attempt to overthrow him, the US has assassinated a few of the hours the people normally work. He's just trying to throw a positive spin on it.

The extra "free time" could be spent reading books by Noam Chomsky. If only they could read.

To paraphrase Lord Acton, "Money corrupts, and unearned money corrupts absolutely."

Are Siestas included?

Mandatory hobbies in Industry AND agriculture. Must feed the collective. With work hours that is. It's not as if he can actually FEED them. That would cut in to his More Equal Than Others perks and palaces.

You laugh, but that's six hours a day longer than the typical Democrat or union member works.

If Hugo's such a great leader lets see him drag his sorry, fat, bloated butt out to the field and work for 6 days, 10 or 12 hours a day.

If we're lucky he'll keel over with heat stroke and that will be one more dictator down the chute. He can give our regard to Saddam while their shoveling coal and dodging pitchforks. ( great mental picture)

Sean, even better for Chavez would be The Hitler treatment from Little Nicky. I hear he loves pineapple anyway.
