Wouldn't do any good. They'd just rebuild it. By the way, according to several websites: "The holiest city for the Muslims is Makkah-tul-Mukarramah. It is not "Mecca". Saudi Arabia had officially changed the spelling of the name of this city to "Makkah" a few years ago after realizing the derogatory usage of the word by the Western media and Western authors." Looks like we should start saying "Makkah." I wonder how long it will be before they think the Western world is using THAT name derogatorily? You mean something like: "A small yield nuke there would Makkah real mess?"
I've always liked the Tomahawk idea. Jimmy has a point - apparently the Kaabah has been rebuilt a couple times over the ages. But it's there to house - of all things - the Holy Meteorite of Islam, the Black Stone: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Stone . And I'm pretty sure turning it into The Holy Grains of Black Sand Scattered for Miles would diminish the fetish value of that place.
