The Indignities of the Modern Military
Posted by Frank J. at 10:41 AM | View blog reactions | Comments (22)

It's got to be hard for a general like Petraeus to have to be called a traitor by MoveOn.org and have to sit there while Hillary Clinton calls him a liar and Barack "Let's Invade Packistan Now and... Ooh! Shiny!" Obama lectures him on foreign policy. At least John Edwards still isn't a Senator or he'd probably have to hear Edwards question his manhood.

He did have to sit through John Kerry imply that his congressional testimony sounded like what the generals said (lies obviously) during congressional hearings on Vietnam in 1967.

"Excuse me, Senator. Could we have a word alone outside?"

Two minutes later....

"General, your hands are bleeding!"

"That's not my blood."

(Repeat as many times as necessary)

Petraues was actually asleep during the whole thing, after months of hard work its all he wanted to do. Fortunately, being the great military man he is he long ago learned how to keep his eyes open and speak while doing so, the dumb-o-crats (HAHAHAH aren't I hilarious, my puns are so clever, its like when the liberals call Petraues Betray Us!) never had a clue, and the republicans didn't mind.

Gen. Petraeus-"I'd like to invite all of the Democratic panelists over to the barracks for a Manhatten Boot Party! We, in the military, feel the need to throw you this party in honor of what you have contributed to the American people over the last three days."

I can't even imagine our military working for any of those would-be Commander's In Chief. Banish the thought - and them - on election day.

I doubt that the General has ever feared anything in his life until he sat before that evil shrew and realized that she was about to fly over the desk and sink her fangs deep into his neck and suck all the blood out of his body and there he say without his wooded stake, no holy water and no crucifix! Very scary stuff for a military man trained to be prepared for all situations!

Thankfully-no-longer-a-Senator Edwards: "General, your hair has no life, not even a shine. And you expect us to believe you are capable of leading fighting men? You don't even know about proper conditioner use!"

#7 - Posted by: Raving Lunatic on September 13, 2007 12:20 PM

ussjimmycarter, Inhofe was probably there, Petraues knew he was safe for we all know that Inhofe can destroy liberals with a single, direct, intelligent sentence. Al Gore has been on the run from Inhofe for awhile now...

#8 - Posted by: AR on September 13, 2007 12:22 PM
...hear Edwards question his manhood.

Or remark that the General's display of all his ribbons was 'tacky.'

#9 - Posted by: FormerHostage on September 13, 2007 12:36 PM

Also he did not endure

* Joe Biden on humility
* Larry Craig's speech on prudence
* Al Gore's feelings about reason
* Dennis Kucinich on negotiation
* Robert Byrd on racism
* Diane Feinstein on ethics
* Jim Webb on firearms security
and last, but not least:
* Ted Kennedy's lecture on vehicle safety

Here's Hitley's take on Petraeus & the MoooveOn ad (via The NY Post):

//"The reports that you provide to us really require the willing suspension of disbelief," she huffed to the general Tuesday.

And she slammed him (and Ambassador Ryan Crocker) as "de facto spokesmen for a failed policy," pointedly refusing to criticize the ad - which called him an outright liar who'd "betray" his nation.//

Later on, Harry Reid went on another camera rant to say how disgusted he & "the American People" are about the whole report.

Incidentally, the NYT- being "unbiased" & all- ran the MoooveOn ad for $65,000. An ad like that usually runs for $181,000. Still think the MSM isn't liberal?

"...hear Edwards question his manhood."

Wouldn't that create a vaccum that would eradicate the entire universe?

ussjimmycarter you should issue a SPEW warning before you comment- You are so funny! Go Now and get yourself a blog..or go now and keep commenting here via Frank J.

And I think the Gen. who has prepared for CHAOS can handle a little fang.

Is it not yet time for the military coup? And then we can do a Nuremburg on the traitors in our own midst. These dhims are so blatantly treasonous that I cannot believe we haven't done it already. Remember your oath of enlistment? REMEMBER YOUR OATH OF ENLISTMENT!

#15 - Posted by: cmblake6 on September 13, 2007 03:37 PM

Yeah, many of them are in clear violation of the Sedition Act and other high crimes. But it's not time for a military coup. It's time to vote the bums out!!

#16 - Posted by: Jimmy on September 13, 2007 03:39 PM

Agreed, Jimmy. Voting is far preferable to violence. However, if enough dead people vote Dem (and you know there will be ANY fraud necessary for a D win), it will be the only option left. This is obvious fact. I may but pray this will NOT be required. VOTE indeed. Pray that this will suffice.

The General has had to deal with real enemies and real danger. A bunch of whiney, vacuous, blowhards with delusions of importance are not frightening to him.

In reality you can tell how afraid a lib is by the shrillness quotient of their voice. Hillary's voice is so shrill that only dogs can hear her half the time. Unfortunately we hear her the rest of the time.

#18 - Posted by: seanmahair on September 13, 2007 03:56 PM

Interesting, isn't it, that Petraeus might also be tasked with gearing up for a REAL war?

#19 - Posted by: Jimmy on September 13, 2007 04:01 PM

That has to be one set of incredible balls Hillary is wearing! Her, of all people, questioning someone's honesty?

Let see, she had a big win in the cattle future's market, fired everyone in the travel office, got caught with over 2000 FBI files in her closet, blamed Monica on the vast right wing conspiracy instead of Billy's inability to keep his zipper up, has Norman Hsu as one of her "HillRaisers", already had a very obvious Chinese connection through wandering zipper Billy, lied about where Chelsey was on 9/11, took the Whitehouse furniture on her way out the door, is now advocating money laundering for the Hsu money she has to return.... need we go on?

#20 - Posted by: Katablog on September 13, 2007 07:57 PM

In my book, you said it Katablog. We need a "Daily Hillary Clinton Sinister Fact." The evidence is overwhelming. Oh - you forgot to mention her "sealing her records" (over 2,000,000 documents) from the Clinton White House.

You and K T Cat could run that on a daily basis, I'll bet. Just thinkin' out loud here....

#21 - Posted by: Jimmy on September 13, 2007 08:14 PM

I propose the creation of a new military award. The Congressional Testimony Action Badge. A yellow rat on a green field.
