Mothers Ruling the World?
Posted by Frank J. at 10:17 AM | View blog reactions | Comments (14)

I have some reservations about Sally Field's idea of mothers ruling the world. What if the mothers assigned to rule the world end up abandoning the world in a dumpster? What if they rule for a while but then suddenly snap and drown the world? Or what if they shotgun the sun and run off with the world claiming that the sun was abusing them?

And some specific mothers might not be good world leaders, like Hitler's mom. I don't know of anything specific she did wrong, but I still don't think she's ready for more responsibility. Maybe I'm being unfair, though, and the rest of her children weren't genocidal at all.

Look at where women - almost all of them mothers - have ruled. Just as bad as the men.

I can provide a list, if anyone's interested.

Mom most certainly rules the world...until Dad comes home.

What if we had some shameless Neo-Marxist woman become the poster girl (are you reading this, Diane?) for the squeaky-wheel Left? A woman who was trying to change US foreign policy by disgracing her dead son's honorable service to this country? A woman who then threatened to run against another dumbass for Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives?

Wouldn't that be crazy?

Don't forget Benazir Bhutto, who did what few women do: rape. (In this case, the treasury of Pakistan.)

And Imelda Marcos. Do we really want a leader who is more concerned about buying ten pairs of shoes to go with the day's outfit than feeding the poor and clothing the naked, et cetera? Sure, the money won't be going to war efforts, but still.

Hey, I like Boudicca. She was violent, yes, but she kicked Roman butt for revenge against them annexing her kingdom and raping her daughters. It's that kind of mother we need in charge of the world, if any. Who knows; if they'd won, perhaps the brits today wouldn't be such tea-drinking pansies (no great offense meant to the british). I'm just saying, I don't think she should be so readily thrown in with those others.
History channel, FTW!

I don't know about those other ladies, but if MY mom ruled the world, we'd all get whacked with a wooden spoon until our rooms were clean.

As Moonbunny's mom, if I ruled the world, I'd be flinging those pointy 4-sider dice I find on the floor at your heads next time I step on one.

I've always been under the impression moms were there to back up the dads, especially the dads who stuck around and decided to raise their children, so I'm all for mom being second-in-command so long as she knows how to fire a rifle or handgun with deadly accuracy.

Isn't this just the way of the future? The kids have been talking about MILF*s for years now.

We should all pay attention to what Sally Field has to say about peace. She has devoted her entire showbiz career to help increase awareness of issues of peace and justice.

For example, a long time ago she played a nun who could fly.

If Sally Fields were my mother I'd jump out the window and cut my throat on the way down...

If? They already do, those mother fuc....

Sally's past boot-legging impersonating political credentials rival Ted's dad and his son - both at the same time. Saying a lot for her, though Ted's son does strike me as being some what of a girlie-boy.

The gender of the person running the world is academic. Anyone who wants that job is probably the last person we really want to have it. Besides how many children did Ms. Field have and is she talking about Nannies running the world or actual mothers?

I have been the mom for 6 children (and their assorted friends and now spouses) for the last 30 years. Mother of the world, I've seen that job in miniture, don't want it, thank you. What a thankless, unpleasant, time consuming, soul stealing job that would be.

Leave it to the men, they think that power is important and that they have it. We know who holds the real power, don't we ladies. Heh heh...... Mwahhhhahahhhahahahaha.

At our county fair, the women democrats had a booth with a big sign that said "When women vote, democrats win!" They had pictures of every democrat president that they took credit for electing. I noticed that a democrat president took us to every war in the 20th century, i.e. Woodrow Wilson - WWI, FDR - WWII, Truman - Korean war, JFK - viet nam. Who was president when terrorists started attacking America??? Jimmy Carter. I pointed out to these nice little old ladies that if what they said was true, then women were responsible for sending millions of their sons to be slaughtered in wars. The result? They started calling me names and called security.

I found it ironic that a raving lunatic of the same gender was espousing the benefits of having someone exactly like her running the world! Now there are other women who could do it. But only with God's help. And he..is a male. Go figure.
