The American Flag Pin Is Too Heavy a Burden to Bear
Obama says he won't wear a flag pin because he's like too good for it or something. Disdain for patriotism certainly isn't going to hurt you in a Democratic primary, but this still worries me. I just noticed something about his name: Barack Hussein Obama. Not very American sounding, is it? Come to think of it, do we even have proof he is an American? I know one place you won't find that proof: his lapel. 18 Responses To "The American Flag Pin Is Too Heavy a Burden to Bear"
B. Hussein Obama needed the room on his lapel for his big, shiny "U.N." pin. #1 - Posted by: Roman Con on October 5, 2007 09:45 AMThe secretary-general of the UN made him take it off. He said it hurt too much when Obama tried to put his head up his ass #2 - Posted by: vootie on October 5, 2007 09:48 AMSo he removes his US Flag pin yesterday, gives us a few days to relax, get used to it, and then walks into the next debate wearing a kifaya. That'll be nice. #3 - Posted by: Casper the Friendly Host on October 5, 2007 10:30 AMi found osama bin-laden. he's been hiding out in chicago all along his alias: Barack Hussein Obama #4 - Posted by: on October 5, 2007 10:38 AMThe thing is, I understand in theory what he is talking about -- patriotism is about more than putting a flag pin on. But as one of Senator's Obama's constiuents, it does not surprise me. He is very much the yuppie liberal. And that is what turns me off. Note -- though I guess I am still a yuppie (I just turned 40) I come from a different background than most of my neighbors (most of whom LOVE Obama). #5 - Posted by: Room 237 on October 5, 2007 11:03 AMYou know, I could care less if he wears a lapel pin or not, his pin wearing choices are not what bother me about him, it's his lack of experiecne and the constant mumbling from his foot being in his mouth that bothers me. Heres a quick prediction for ya: 2008 will be a Clinton/Obama ticket for the democrats. [What bothers me is when not wearing a pin becomes a statement. -Ed.] #6 - Posted by: Clay S. on October 5, 2007 11:14 AM>Heres a quick prediction for ya: 2008 will be a Clinton/Obama ticket for the democrats. I am not so sure -- Obama would outshine Clinton and I don't think she wants that. We have been getting used to seeing the second place guy get the Democratic VP slot, I am not sure it happens this time. Further, Obama does better with the left wing of the democrats by stayting outside, so he can still snipe about the war. #7 - Posted by: Room 237 on October 5, 2007 11:17 AMShillery will only have two choices for running mate. Osama--er, I mean, OBAMA (sorry, small typo), or the Silky Pony. She'll have a better chance of winning with the Muslim than she will with the fa--, er, I mean, the pansy. It doesn't really bother me all that much that he doesn't wear a flag pin. For him TO wear one would bother me a great deal more, as he constantly tries to undermine the nation. The man is just dangerous. And, if by some gigantic nightmare, Shillary wins the POTUS election, AND he's her VP, we'll see him running for POTUS a few years later. And by then, no one will be able to say he doesn't have the experience... #8 - Posted by: Jedijson on October 5, 2007 11:28 AMHillary will run with James Webb. Actually, if it takes a lot more than wearing a pin (only a libtard would think it doesn't), wearing the pin would be such a tiny and insignificant tanginble thing you wouldn't think it's a problem. It's just to appease his anti-American base. It is also, if you read his words, a slap at everyone who wears their patriotism on their sleeve. An idirect Phony Patriot slam, if you will. It should piss you off, as Frank said, because not wearing it is his statement; not a fashion choice. #10 - Posted by: Raving Lunatic on October 5, 2007 11:49 AMI think he doesn't want to wear it because, to liberal "men", those lapel pins can be so darn heavy! Plus they're pointy on the back & can give them big ouchies, the poor dears. #11 - Posted by: AlanABQ on October 5, 2007 12:07 PMI only had to hear what the minister of his church preaches (while Obama continues to attend and not denounce) to know this guy is no one I want holding the highest office in the USA. The democratic ticket will be: Clinton and Clinton #12 - Posted by: katablog.com on October 5, 2007 12:46 PMIs it too late for GOP luminary, Larry (I'm assuming a new stance) Craig, to throw his hat in the ring? I mean, it's time the GOP fielded a candidate who fights for his convictions - or is it BECAUSE of his convictions? Whatever! #13 - Posted by: RIGHTeous on October 5, 2007 12:48 PMHillary will run with James Webb. Clinton/Webb? As in.. Webb of Deceit? It does seem to fit, yes? #14 - Posted by: Polly Esther on October 5, 2007 02:09 PMA libtards failure to have pride for their country is a clear sign they could never serve it. #15 - Posted by: ChrisA on October 5, 2007 02:18 PMUppity Negro! #17 - Posted by: ussjimmycarter on October 6, 2007 05:26 AMI predict that Hillary needs to "nail" down the lesbian vote and will therefore choose a rather large, butch Janet Reno type as her VP running "mate"... #18 - Posted by: ussjimmycarter on October 6, 2007 11:07 AMPost a comment
