IMAO Is Fit to Print
IMAO made the New York Times thanks to this post from Ducky. It was actually the reader comments that get quoted (such as one from K T Cat), so credit goes to all ronin. Of course, being the NYT, they tied our humor into Abu Grahib, but watcha gonna do? (hat tip to reader Mike T.) 17 Responses To "IMAO Is Fit to Print"
Cool but they really should have linked to you. They must be cowards unlike President Bush who is a baseball legend like Babe Ruth. #1 - Posted by: Sarcasm Man on October 29, 2007 10:28 AMWhat's the jist? I refuse to sign up for their website. They can eat a bag of hell. #2 - Posted by: Ringmaster on October 29, 2007 11:03 AMI'm falling out of my chair here! What a great story. Thanks for linking back to the 'Post, too. You didn't need to do that and I really appreciate it. I reordered my posts to put a very important one at the top. Check it out. You won't believe it. #3 - Posted by: K T Cat on October 29, 2007 11:11 AM(hat tip to reader Mike T.) Get the traitorous bastid!!!!! He should be considered lefty until proven sane. #4 - Posted by: Veeshir on October 29, 2007 11:36 AMThat's pretty cool. They could've linked to the site, though. #5 - Posted by: ChrisA on October 29, 2007 11:48 AMCongrats to IMAO and KT Cat! I hope the Times readers are tougher than Ron Paul babies! We eat those. #6 - Posted by: Jimmy on October 29, 2007 11:59 AMThe NYT piece is pure drivel, but it's better drivel than Paul Krugman or Maureen Dowd writes. #7 - Posted by: Silicon Valley Jim on October 29, 2007 12:02 PMSarcasm man. I argree with you. Did I just say that? #8 - Posted by: spacemonkey on October 29, 2007 12:34 PMSniff, sniff, - I'm so proud of y'all! #9 - Posted by: Clintons Are White Trash on October 29, 2007 12:39 PMI wonder if this means we'll see trollery of the Dowd-following type here now. I guess in order for them to link to IMAO, Frank & the crew need to run a scathing ad about General Petraeus for someone else at a bargain-basement price. #10 - Posted by: AlanABQ on October 29, 2007 01:18 PMWay to go K T. Congrats!!! #11 - Posted by: Lily on October 29, 2007 05:57 PMSweet, now I am internet famous. #12 - Posted by: Mike T on October 29, 2007 07:30 PMI'm proud to leach off the hard work of others. Hoooray for RWD!! And that KT character too. #13 - Posted by: RightWingDuck on October 29, 2007 07:48 PMOnce again RWD gets the first AND the last laugh. #14 - Posted by: Dohtimes on October 29, 2007 08:01 PMDecent article, saying basically what I thought when I first heard Rowling's statement. Once the story is published, the character has been defined and exists on its own and the author loses her ability to make changes. Sorta reminds me of that Pirandello play "Six Characters in Search of an Author." Or my high school English teacher: "It doesn't always matter what the author intended, because the reader often sees what he wants to see." #15 - Posted by: cknight on October 29, 2007 11:10 PMYou rock, Mike. And so does Gary, who did that "Don't ask, don't spell" reason for Dumbledore's homosexuality. And what the heck... Reason #?: Referred to his wand as "Mr. Hat" before leaving it for "Mr. Twig". #16 - Posted by: AlanABQ on October 29, 2007 11:25 PM
Of course, is NYT the Big Time anymore? YMMV. #17 - Posted by: Polly Esther on October 30, 2007 01:25 PMPost a comment
