R for Ronulans
Posted by Frank J. at 12:31 PM | View blog reactions | Comments (19)

Wow. 4.2 million in one day. Let that be a lesson for politicians: You can have a huge online presence if you just get the insane conspiracy theorists, neo-Nazis, and other assembled losers energized by your candidacy.

Still, that won't be enough money to cover up that Ron Paul is a crank supported by people who make the Heaven's Gate cult look rational, and I wonder if all the donors are going to have a bit of buyers remorse when they think of what a rocking Star Trek convention $4.2 million could fund.

UPDATE:

Another Wired article on Ronulan shenanigans. Expect more freaking out from them.

Ron is a man of the people.

Only it's the freaky weird people who shop after dark and sleep with brain control reduction headgear and suspect that though not everyone may be out to get them, everyone is complicit in the intent of the ones who are.

Ron Paul raises $4.2M from donors on the internet. In related news, sales of tinfoil hats and crappy beer took a nosedive this past week.

They'll be thinking about the awesome gear they could've bought at that convention, plus size versions of the Princess Leia gold bikini costumes to get their online sweethearts, or monthly subscriptions to World of Warcraft.

OK, everyone get ready for the barrage of Ronulan Googlers who'll see this post and feel the irresistible urge to come & expound the unimpeachable moral character that Dr. Ron Paul exemplifies, and tell us what a bunch of ignorant neocone we are & blah blah blah...

Happens every time.

The Ronulans have nothing on the iRobots. I just posted on my blog suggesting that the gPhone is a serious threat to the iPhone and now the place is swarming with iRobots telling me what a moron I am.

KT Cat, you've given me a great idea.
We need a post where Ron Paul says that Macs are the way to go, he'll overturn Roe v Wad and he doesn't believe in God and then quotes with Howard Dean saying PCs are best, free abortions for all and he believes in God (as long as he gets his bike path).

Think of it, Ronulans vs Deany-boppers would be funny enough, but if you throw in Mac vs PC, atheists vs deists and anti-vs pro-abortion arguments? That's comedy gold right there and a guaranteed 1,000+ comments.
The only problem I see is that there seems to be considerable overlap between Ronulans and Deany-boppers, but that has a potential upside. Imagine some of them arguing both sides and attacking themselves in snide, illiterate, ignorant and condescending comments.
That's just funny. Sort of like a cage match at the Special Olympics.

Heh!

#7 - Posted by: Carolynp on November 6, 2007 02:22 PM

I can't accept that Ron Paul supporters can cough up that much money in such a short time. Either the numbers are phony, or more likely, the MoveOn crowd has a hand in this. I smell a Hungarian...

URGENT!!! URGENT!!!

I have obtained a copy of a list of individuals who contributed to Ron Paul via the internet to help him raise the 4.2 million dollars. The following Arabic people were on the list, why they chose to support Ron Paul is still unclear:

Graabir Boubi
Yuliqa M'Diq
Uwana M'Diq
Usuqa M'Diq
Apul Madeek-Aoud
Yul Strokheet Al-Wauch
Awan Afuqya
Mustaf Herod Apyur Poupr
Shaif Hir Boosh
I-Zheet M'Drurz
Hous Bin Pharteen
I Bin Pharteen
Haid D'Salaami
and the biggest contributer of all:
MBalz Es-Hari

Stay tuned for the latest updates.

And some Russians, too:

Itore Titzoff
Ivanov Agina
Vasili Nigotta
Sergei Imuntoo

The last two are African Russians.

I heard that RuPaul contributed 1/3 just for the name recognition...

Wired had a new article comparing Apple Fanatics to Ron Paul Enthusiasts. Pretty funny.

http://blog.wired.com/27bstroke6/2007/11/whos-nuttier-ap.html

#17 - Posted by: Tim on November 6, 2007 05:35 PM

I support the article's conclusion that the Ronulans win in that Sleaze-Off. As much as I hate Mac Evangelist and Jobs Fellatio Corner, The Ronulans are by far the more annoying group. Mac folks are just uppity about stupid tech products. The Ronulans are in it to ruin this fine nation. That ratchets up the sleaze by at least an order of magnitude.

#18 - Posted by: DesertElephant on November 7, 2007 12:02 PM

Incredibly, we seem to get the more coherent and rational Paul-bots here. Wired must be getting the moonbats pretending to be Republicans.

One of them was even considerate enough to give me a great new nickname: "Judas backstabbing scumbag gestapo pig". Although, it's kind of long, so I think I'll stick with my current one.
