Funniest Blog? Sadly, no.
Posted by Frank J. at 10:03 AM | View blog reactions | Comments (12)

Looks like IMAO once again didn't win funniest blog in the Weblog awards. We got less votes than any other year, probably on a account of not being nominated.

I blame Harvey.

Would it have mattered if IMAO had been nominated? I mean, most of your readers are gainfully employed and have to spend much of their time making the country work. Libtards, on the other hand, have nothing better to do while waiting for the next freebie but vote repeatedly for their favorites (until Mom brings down another sandwich).

Do not be of sad heart...I think you are the funniest blog.

Perhaps you were not nominated because IMAO would have won by a landside, thereby making the other blogs so sad they might stop blogging. You are a selfless man (and blog) and were not nominated for the good of all the other blogs.

Sadly No! shamelessly pleaded with its readers to go vote, and placed the pleads interspersed with a relatively funny piece there. Most of their stuff was boring leftist drek and fairly tacky or obscene stuff. It's level of humor was probably most appealing to Lefties and 4th grade boys.

Sadly No! won the weblogs like Gore won the Nobel Prize - because of the way it was artificially set up. In the real world I think you would have won. Its the real world that counts.

You guys just don't get the satire (Or is it parody? I always get those confused) that is Sadly,No!. They don't believe what they write, they just do it to make fun of all the poo-flinging monkeys.
The real shame? Balloon Juice should have won in that category, that place is much funnier cuz the commenters get in on the parody (satire?).

Oh, I think you were nominated. They just decided to make the contest more fair by not allowing the "Fred Thompson" of all humor websites--IMAO. Nothing could beat you...and they knew it!

Those voters are just a bunch of buttholes. I hate them.

I went there for the first time this morning and I didn't think it was funny. Sadly, No bookmark.

Jetijson is probably right. They wanted everyone playing on a level blogisfield.

Besides, we all blame Harvey too.

For what it's worth, I think that Daily Kos is the best humor/satire website online. The way they so believably manage to foam at the mouth over imaginary, foolish insanity makes me chuckle every time.

... wait, they're not satire? Are you sure? People actually buy into that? I need a drink.

Harvey? No wonder you weren't nominated. You should know the standard is to blame Bush. In your case, Edwards would have sufficed. Data knows humor better.

Eh, what do I know. I didn't even vote.

:P

I am one of the biggest satire fans, I can laugh at almost anything.
Sadly, No!
Not even a grin.
That site was the Ginger, overweight, bespectacled kid in the class of funny.

Kinda glad IMAO wasn't even on the list. I like to think of you as a class of your own.

Frank - I did what I had to do to keep you from inflicting your acceptance speech on your readers.

I regret nothing!
